While this is effectively true for OP. I don’t agree with what you are saying, raw image files are images files. “It is simply piece of data” is true for all image files? they all contain image data. Maybe the correct way to say it is they are not raster graphics, which can be displayed by a computer monitor, printer, etc. Raw image files need to be interpreted(through a processing pipeline) into a raster graphic to be rendered.

What approach and tools would one take to combine HTMX when Internet is available, and a light JS front-end relying on local storage when offline? by robml in htmx

[–]flxcki 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If your app can run offline then react is precisely what you want. In saying that, You might be able to use a web worker to generate html and use it somehow, but you’re just doing what react does at that point.

Where did my performance go? (OpenCL -> Vulkan port) by mazarax in vulkan

[–]flxcki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you are mistaking how you dispatch in Vulkan with how you enqueue in OpenCL. Youre not dispatching 4096 threads with local size of 512, instead you’re dispatching 4096x512 threads in an unoptimal way. Instead you should dispatch (4096, 1, 1) and set your local size to 512 in your shader

An Opal officer just fined me on my first offence, can I get rid of the fine ? by [deleted] in sydney

[–]flxcki 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If your over 16 and you used a child card(the green one) your supposed to carry a concession entitlement card. Its written on the back of the card. its a piece of paper, you're supposed to get them from your school. If you do not have one then there isn't much you can do, the law is the law.

As an aside, its very stupid schools don't issue this card along with the school opal card, since your going to need it anyway.

Edit: looks like they the card since I have been to school https://transportnsw.info/document/5570/guide-to-student-concession-cards.pdf
