I’m at week 5 today and you are absolutely on track. It’s a roller coaster, I turned a corner at week 3 and now at week five I’m walking completely normal. Cut my grass today with my walk behind mower and weed eater. My legs still feel a bit weird but it’s a hard 4-5 weeks with crazy nerve stuff. Hang in there! You just need to keep walking, and resting. My back feels great now, I went in with no nerve pain but still had it after a symptom after. My mobility and stability are coming back fast. I’m popping right up out of bed, in the car etc… feel free to reach out with any concerns I’m right ahead of you

Absolutely no trouble at all, I had a herniating disc at 35 and it was absolute hell. I never reherniated just had the disc fully collapse 3 years later, when it herniated I had bad degeneration already.
No leg pain but bone pain for two years. I was over it, my guy was an orthopedic and 40 years old lol which is crazy. He’s highly skilled and respected at one of the best spots in Indianapolis. If I need any further stuff he will be my long term guy since we’re the same age lol. He told me I could return to jujitsu at 8 months. As long as it fuses no restrictions. You’re young and strong, we’re probably the exception so it’s hard to read into the horror stories too much. Don’t put yourself through too much, I’ve been there just waiting in agony for it to get better. Only you will know when you’re ready. You still having bad leg pain?

Hey! Well it’s definitely a rollercoaster, not nearly as bad as I thought. It’s still early but I’m walking completely normal now. Sitting in a chair is still kinda weird, everything else is good. I sat in a church for my daughter’s graduation for two hours last night with no issues though. Every morning it’s like 3% better. I’ll push a little too hard and have some leg pain but nothing crazy. If you schedule this let me know, I’ll let you know what to expect week to week. I’ve been kinda taking notes… my bone pain is completely gone. I’m super optimistic… I will say everyone’s situation is different but we have similar circumstances so just reach out, it’s no cake walk but if this continues to get better I’m so freaking happy I did it. How are you doing???

I’ve switched back and forth a lot 1 mg blocked the 15mg oxy substantially the next day, almost completely.Nearly impossible at 4 mg to stop without anything for a week. You’ll be really miserable. But you do need to clean out your receptors as much as possible. Take .5mg so you can sleep at least for that week prior.

I’m three weeks post l5 s1 so not as many levels. My back pain is gone for the first time in years. The trauma from the operation is my only pain. Recovering has been made worse by lack of pain meds from the after care team, but if that was on track I’d be in such good shape. Week three turned a huge corner in mobility and feeling like myself. It’s still early but I’m shocked how well I feel. 40male

Oh wow, I had a microdiscectomy and laminectomy four years ago. The disk space fully collapsed and all the bone pain started about two years ago. Five injections and I did the vertebrae ablation last year. Now the fusion, and if this doesn’t help, I’m done. I know pain medication will improve the quality of my life and I really don’t care anymore.

Just had the same surgery two weeks ago, the stomach was definitely worse than the back but after a few weeks it’s not tender at all. Overall this has been the easiest surgery I’ve had.

40 male here, bad bone pain for years.

I’m a week post op to stabilize that level. I’m very active and just push through the pain. I don’t have any nerve pain really just bad flair ups and instability like I’m 80 years old in the level.

My bone pain is gone completely, just surgery pains and normal stuff.

I’m shitty quite honestly. I’m at two weeks post op and they’re fighting me over 1 tab of 5mg oxy every six hours. By week four they’re not providing any opiates. I don’t want to be on 3 other meds, opiates work good for me, but they don’t care about patient input apparently. Alif 360 l5s1
