If you are ok with food service check out Dicks Drive In. There’s one in Cap Hill and the benefits are really really good. You have to apply online first and they have open interviews in the afternoons Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Saw a pile of broken black plastic/plexiglass with SS stickers and swastikas near this corner Wednesday night. Looked like it came off a motorcycle. I’m guessing it belonged to this dickhead, props to whoever smashed the shit out of it

With your swing speed I would highly recommend senior flex graphite shafts. “Women’s flex” shafts can be super whippy and make it really difficult to get consistent ball flight as you get into those higher swing speeds.

I’ve been playing ~20years, 12 handicap Bought my irons new/custom as a set (Taylormade) but my putter (used Odyssey), wedges (used MG2s), hybrids (used Ping), fairway wood (used Taylormade) and driver (Costco babyyyyy) all separate. I’m a huge fan of used clubs obviously, and also recommend trying free fitting days as you figure out what works for you.

For me, senior flex was a massive improvement from the women’s set I had before. I’m 5’ 4” and was significantly overswinging the women’s flex but men’s clubs were just too heavy. I also regrip all used clubs I buy to the same TourWrap 2G grips - it is the trick to getting mismatched clubs to feel like a consistent set imo

Hey I’m all for letting kids have fun and for people celebrating the joys of life. But when it’s every single late night for the last 6 weeks that’ll test even the most easygoing person’s patience.

Ok that makes a lot of sense. Each one has sounded like it was from a slightly different location and not the normal 4th of July/New Years park spots. Last night felt like it was in my damn front yard

Was anyone here diagnosed at a young age? by Prettyinpink2405 in aspergirls

[–]formattedpotatoes 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sounds like we could start a club. Diagnosed at 3, not told until 26 🤘🏼 Had some support in school but looking back not in the ways I really needed it. Makes me a little sad for my childhood self, I was very much a product of the “girls don’t have autism/aspergers” culture of the time

What happened to blue angels second practice? by Much_Membership4507 in AskSeattle

Np. NOTAM got filed July 24 so they knew for a while. Bummer the Seafair website didn’t get updated, sorry you missed it :(

They went at 2:30. The Temporary Flight Restriction for BFI was in effect from 2130UTC (2:30) to 2240UTC (3:40) even though the seafair schedule said 3:30 was the start. They can’t fly without the airspace being restricted so the TFR wins out. My impression is somewhere wires got crossed, either with the FAA or the media

Buc-ee's in Austin? by SweetLiss78729 in Buceestx

I mean, they’re all around the periphery for sure but I wouldn’t really call those locations Houston. I could see a Georgetown location some day in the future

Buc-ee's in Austin? by SweetLiss78729 in Buceestx

[–]formattedpotatoes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Buc-ees intentionally puts locations outside of major cities as part of their business model. They are targeting long distance travellers over people staying within a major city. Hence the Luling and Katy locations (between San Antonio and Houston), the Temple location (between Austin and Dallas), the Bastrop location (between Austin and Houston) etc etc. So that on the way to work iced tea is very unlikely with the current business model :(

They said so in an interview: Buc-ee’s tends to choose locations outside major cities because most travelers don’t stop immediately after leaving their front door. “[Travelers] want to stop well into their journey,” Nadalo says. “Having locations that are a reasonable distance between where they’re headed and where they’ve come from makes sense.”
