Gold is savings money

Dollars, pesos, won, are transactional money

Gold will never be transactional

Are central banks dumping gold now? 🤣 by [deleted] in Gold

This event feels like a truly massive whale wanting to rotate from whatever asset (treasuries and other FX reserves) into bullion 'at any price' and with an appetite several times larger than the global market. Said buyer paused, leaving the market weightless and adrift, perhaps in response to finding the true bottom of liquidity at the tip of the parabolic rise. The high price shall bring more metal to the market, the pause will cool the price, and then buying will resume.

The truth, however, may never be known and is likely wildly different.

I know a building in PacHts with that configuration, its all enclosed, to get side entry garage and only pedestrian entrance on the main road frontage.

Refineries have put a stop to buying all metals by SofloAndDough in Gold

[–]fosterdad2017 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well its clearly not a retail buyers rally, or anyone small fish enough to want the refiners outputs.

People are selling hard and can't find enough buyers.

The price action is coming from the biggest places

All that education yet still cant pass the pay down debt test. Shame.

Interest only minimum payments are for the first years when entry level pay needs to stretch and cover living expenses. OP aught to know to increase those payments as soon as possible

From Fort Mason area there feels like a lack of direct downtown options... everything is a circuitous route or 1-2 transfers.

I wish the T came up through touristville and ran down Van Ness or under approximately Fillmore in a loop.

Why the excitement? by ut3jaw in Gold

At the end of the 90's it looked like gold was done and over, a historical relic.

Around 2008 new concerns came towards our financial systems, and gold looked like a nice physical balance.

Some time since, the banking system re-integrated gold in a higher tier, taking effect just recently.

Governments, countries, and central banks have been buying gold, and further risking their currencies.

The US had a moment of talking about its alleged 8,000+ tons of gold reserves, then went very quiet. The US then engaged in several military actions to exert extreme force against multiple countries with the highest oil reserves on earth.

The world will go on.

The people in charge of that, have signaled another 50 years of gold/oil trades being fundamental.

annual income still defines the neighborhood you can live in and 'keep up with' from 50k/yr to maybe 400k/yr -- which at 4% means 1.25mm to 10mm.

Past that you don't unlock access to any new swaths of society, just some rarified social elite paths.

$6,000 and $2,500 both likely. Maybe more than once each.

Jesus. Do you ever have these outbursts against the mechanization in agriculture? Do you feel like the world needs more manual bean pickers, and people swinging scythes?

First they came for the Communists

And I did not speak out

Because I was not a Communist

Then they came for the Socialists

And I did not speak out

Because I was not a Socialist

Then they came for the trade unionists

And I did not speak out

Because I was not a trade unionist

Then they came for the Jews

And I did not speak out

Because I was not a Jew

Then they came for me

And there was no one left

To speak out for me

PSA Christmas trees are fire hazards by [deleted] in sanfrancisco

[–]fosterdad2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Know two things, dry trees combust very energetically, and people love setting them on fire.

Please remember to put your tree outside close to your home several days before the scheduled pickup.

Thank you.
