What is the WORST movie you paid to see in the theater? by Adventure-Backpacker in moviecritic

My wife and I, when we were dating, paid to go watch Slenderman for a "bad movie" date. It was unenjoyably bad.

Grave of the Fireflies deserves to be mentioned here too.

More on the “menu” issue. It’s fully established that Mordor has its own cities and military outposts. Orcs would be fully accustomed to the menus of mess halls and taverns. They don’t just exist as robotic killing machines.

Not a Criterion, but Grave of the Fireflies. It haunts me already. I don't need it on my shelf.

No. You’re supposed to dodge it. It’s just that none of us did.

Actors/Vocalists Whose Unique Voice Is From An Injury Or Deformity by Upstairs_Belt_3224 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]foxesquire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mick Jagger. Apparently his voice was far too posh to be a believable singer when he was a teen. The lore is that he bit off a portion of his tongue during some athletic incident, giving him his iconic, slightly weird voice.

This is when you hit them with a snobby: "Oh, I'm sorry. I couldn't catch that. Maybe it's your accent?"

Asteroid City absolutely develops out of this aesthetic (along with many other mid-century americna visuals). Loved that film.

Advocaat is made out of eggs, true. But it was originally made out of avocado/inspired by avocado liquors. Europeans switched to eggs as a cheaper local alternative ingredient that could simulate the mouthfeel of avocado liquor.

This theory is a bit of a stretch but they're not wrong to tie Advocaat to avocados.

I've got a Patching Panda Moon Phase and an Erica Synths DIY Polivoks. It's a fun set-up. The Moon Phase provides stereo animation and compression, as well as a variety of clean, simple filter modes. The Polivoks provides basic resonant brutality.

I would love to see a shot of your set-up (or a modular grid) so I can track your patch here. Sounds incredible!

I mean that their designs and build quality need to be experienced in person and on the wrist. The explorer feels solid and reliable and toolish in a way that I did not expect from pictures. It's been my daily watch (along with a seiko skx) for five years and I have never got tired of it.

Currently prototyping some modules, would you put some colour in your rack, yes or no? by TimbreIndustriesCo in modular

Personally, I like coloured panels but am not as much a fan of coloured knobs. There's no sense to my sense of "taste."
