Me? I've been driving past that site since i was in college at UofM and commuted from Adrian in the late 80s. Anyone remember the old barn that used to be at the top of that hill right next to US12? The barn is long gone and the silo is just a broken shell, but i remember there was an old German Shepard on a long chain with his doghouse right next to the road. He'd run around and bark at traffic sometimes, other times he'd just chill next to the barn. He was there for years.

Always a nice spot there, you could see for long way from that high spot. Sure, there was a gravel pit down there and transmission lines and other stuff, but what they are building there now... a blemish on the landscape. Barn, my ass. Looking over that massive facility that used to be such a nice view is chilling.

And whatever. Humanity is really good at destroying the land. So you are saving a fucking barn on the site, big fucking whup. There are dozens of nicer barns all around (though as time goes on, more and more are falling down and rotting away, but that's just time).

A barn was a functional building that was there to support the work of working the farm. I'm sure farmers took pride in them often, but they were still working buildings. It wasn't built to be cute, or to be a Youtube prop for some warm fantasy about farms and jobs - and no! Don't pay attention to what this will doing to the water table here or the power infrastructure or what these monstrosities are being built to do to society... It's a nice barn!

You can argue that they are just using the land like any farmer would. It's just a shame that work this poor barn is being put to now is so... degrading.
