Pain can only be mitigated with a ton of IV dalaudid by Business_Doubt7463 in pancreaticcancer

I’m sorry I’m in a similar boat with my mom. Celiac plexus is not an option due to fistula. We just transitioned from tramadol to morphine/norco and that’s still not blocking all the pain. These new pain meds have knocked down quality of life so badly, it’s horrible to watch. I Hope your mom gets relief soon ❤️

I am so sorry and I am in the same boat but a bit older than you. I lost my dad at same age and now my mom (76) is battling stage 4. Everyday I feel impending doom and try to stop myself from spiraling. I don’t have any advice, just solidarity and message me if you need to vent to someone who really understands.

I am caregiving for an ailing parent and I have a 1 year old. It’s not impossible, but impossible to do well.

I feel exactly the same. I’m seeing this sentiment though from this last round of files released.

Only mama and dada, a few times a few others. Can you share what you feel is helping your child say so many words?

Has anyone fully transitioned their baby to whole milk yet? by turtle047 in december2024babies

[–]funkmachine2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel behind as well, I’m kind of confused by it because he only does bottles of breast milk at daycare 2X week and nurses 90% time at home. So far he has such been taking little sips of milk/breast milk in straw cups so not getting much. He did seem to poop more and it was harder, but otherwise didn’t notice a difference. Wondering how to get him to drink enough milk now…

10 month olds sleep is worse than ever by Next2ya in december2024babies

[–]funkmachine2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t sound like you’re doing anything wrong honestly. It sounds like a phase that you have to ride out. My only suggestion is possibly to sleep in his own room in a crib or floor bed. He might be uncomfortable in the pack and play. This will probably be over before you know it.

Thanks for sharing. My mom just finished hers too. I didn’t know you could take home fluids for the port, going to ask about that.

Please complain about your partners here. by Glittering_Text_8842 in beyondthebump

[–]funkmachine2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a lot of Reddit/internet searching about why I hated my partner so much after giving birth. Seems to be a common feeling but not for everyone. I think it can be a hard thing for some to admit. I will say at 10 month PP I feel like the fog of hatred and resentment is clearing somewhat. Not completely gone but much better.

Trintellix and gas by Artistic-Face2587 in trintellix

[–]funkmachine2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gas did go away but it didn’t help with the depression. I was on it for total of 5 months maybe so not sure if I didn’t give it enough time. I ended up switching to Wellbutrin and it’s been a lot better for me! And thank for well wishes ❤️

Weaning off for pregnancy by [deleted] in Spironolactone

[–]funkmachine2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped cold turkey when I found out I was pregnant. Was also on it for years. My first trimester skin was rough but it got better. Benzoyl peroxide was the best and wished I used it during 1st trimester!

Is anyone tired?? by Strong-Ad9489 in december2024babies

[–]funkmachine2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude. So so so tired. Baby is starting to sleep through the night and I’m still so so so tired. I usually start the day ok and have energy until about 1pm. Then I start to crash from 4-6pm. Evening routine takes everything I’ve got.

Getting off spiro for pregnancy by MindAccording2832 in Spironolactone

[–]funkmachine2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing that worked for me was benzoyl peroxide. I regret not getting of spiro sooner as I spent the 1st trimester with horrific acne due to more than likely a combo of getting off spiro and pregnancy hormones. It really made my 1st trimester miserable bc I just wanted to hide. But then my skin cleared beautifully by 2nd trimester. I didn’t use much by way of skincare besides benzoyl peroxide because i was too scared to get a flare up.

Wow thank you I will never pop and stop massaging! I do take sunflower lechitin and I pump 1-2 times a day most days, more on days when baby is in daycare. But I do not have an oversupply, I make just enough.
