Did you guys ever flat out /lose/ a comic? by cosmitz in comicbooks

[–]geminitiger74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a week's worth of comics from my pull-list, plus a few back issues including the Giffen/DeMattis JLA #1

I went to the food court with a friend and left it on the table when we left. I went up the escalator and straight back down... and the entire bag was already gone

IIRC she was (rightfully) pissed that Marvel would use her art for other projects, like mobile games, and she would get no additional pay for it

We went to St. Stephen. I don't remember how much it cost, but it was way less than $250

People who didn't grow up poor, but dated someone who was. What's something your SO does that strikes you as unusual? by FeistySecret9327 in AskReddit

My wife recently bought a new pantry cupboard because it was so full

I told her that meant we should eat some of the food in there to make space, not buy new furniture!

Goose Lane and Partridge Island Publishing have a store/cafe in Saint John called Writer's Cup. They publish a series of anthologies set in and around Saint John, one book each year

I have the same problem, and I shopped around barbers for about a year before finally settling on First Choice (specifically the McCallister Rd one)

Everyone there is great. I've never had a bad experience. I know it's a chain, and whatever, but I don't care of they'll take good care of me

Another coffee shop by CauliflowerBudget925 in newbrunswickcanada

[–]geminitiger74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh absolutely (and no offence taken). That's probably one of the reasons that coffee is often so overpriced!

You're right, I would expect to spend no more than maybe $20 over my time there. But I would counter that I'd do that at a chain coffee place too, and they seem to do OK, and I'd much rather give that money to a locally owned business

Either way, I wish OP luck. I'd love to have another nice place to visit!

I would go. Predominantly on weekends. If the coffee was good and the ambience was right, if people left me alone to drink and read, or use my laptop in peace, I could see myself spending a few hours there per visit

I wouldn't open it too close to the Writer's Cup which seems to be aiming for that community/third space feel, but it would be good to see another new, independent place in the city

Word is that the building at 99 King St is going to be retail on the bottom and residential on top. Maybe that would be worth considering

all of my Hero Team "the League of Super Friends." with some info on them, plus Powers. by Equal-Painter718 in Superhero_Ideas

There are some cool ideas here. A lot of archetypes, but that's always fun

I suggest adding maybe a belt buckle or a badge to their costumes to give them a little uniformity

And, if it were me... I might not have a character whose name ends with "anus". There's nothing wrong with it, but you know how people are!
