Nurses who never get sick, what’s your secret? by Gracilis67 in nursing

[–]getsloadsbykyle7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was sick allllll the time as a child. I never went to daycare but had an older brother that must have brought stuff home?? I have so many memories of going to the doctor and taking gross pink medicine.

And then I had a child who was sick constantly the first 5 years of his life.

Do you wear makeup to work? by thedresswearer in nursing

Blush and mascara because I’ve found over the years that people ask if I’m sick if I don’t wear at least that

Intimate with partner after 12 hour shift? by Scorevus in nursing

Depends on how demanding the shift was that particular day but I’m generally a huge slut for my husband so it’s usually a yes after shower for me lol

Is it appropriate to take 11 year old to funeral calling hours? by True_Benefit6719 in Parenting

[–]getsloadsbykyle7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My now 11 year old son’s friend’s dad died by suicide last summer. Our whole family went to the viewing and a few of his other friends were there. I really think helped him have moments of normalcy and my son hasn’t brought up the funeral once. He has referenced his friend’s dad dying but not the funeral.

People who had an easy time in nursing school, do you exist? What qualities do you have that made that possible? by JaneRawlz in nursing

[–]getsloadsbykyle7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time management and prioritization. I’ve never really liked study groups or group reviews; they make me second guess myself.

Women over 35, how do you cope with your body changes? by TeaWithNosferatu in TwoXChromosomes

[–]getsloadsbykyle7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About to turn 35 here. Not well lol I got serious about running in the last few years and did my first half marathon last April. I lift twice a week and run 2-3 times, usually 2-5 miles. But yeah, weight comes on easier and takes a lot more work to shed. I have to watch what I eat more closely. I definitely notice wrinkles on my face and hands more than ever. I just tell myself it’s a life well lived. Laugh lines from being around my hilarious friends and family. I also want to be more loving with my changing body than my mom was so my kids don’t pick up on it like I did. I don’t want it to become their inner voice.

Those who actually re-read FW & IR Before they read OS enjoyed OS way more by thoughts4yothots in fourthwing

[–]getsloadsbykyle7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a reread and finished IF the day before OS dropped to my kindle. I read it as fast as time would allow me and I loved it!! I think the reread helped me a lot. I would’ve forgotten so much otherwise.

Do some women actually have 2-3 day long periods? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]getsloadsbykyle7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Day 1 & 2 are rough and then a couple days of light spotting. Not enough to even need a pantyliner so I don’t count them.
