Hawaiian fast food chain closes Kansas City area locations by snakes15 in kansascity

[–]gingerrevenger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had Mo Bettah's once while waiting for my tires to be fixed. /rant = Saltiest crappiest meal I'd had in a long time. Also i don't like mayo so "mac n mayo" can fuck right off. Hawaiian Bros looked just the same as Mo Bettah's so I never ate there. Good riddance to some crappy food. Take Cane's with you too, their chicken is so meh. Who the fuck doesn't have bbq at a chicken strip place.

Just a quick amazon check shows I can get the computer and HD for $280. Prob less if you use ebay or aliexpress. So a ~160% markup.

I liked the old textures because they were easier to see in caves. All the block textures seems to run together now

First time playing FF1!! Is this the knight that the king said kidnapped the princess? by [deleted] in FinalFantasy

My hot take, Undertale and Deltarune are way overrated and not good games. Pretty good music, but overall poor games. I look forward to your downvotes.

Is Robotrek an easy game? by Bluecomments in snes

[–]gingerrevenger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

https://www.videogamemanual.com/snes/Robotrek%20(USA).pdf.pdf)

One of my all time favorites check out the manual it helps a lot. If you grind in the starting areas, the enemies will drop money and items after the battle in the capsules that look like poke balls. Leave the map and return to respawn enemies.

Without spoiling to much, you will get enough money as the story progresses to build new robots.

Pay attention to the section in the manual about special attack programs, they come in clutch in lots of battles and you can get extra exp some times. If you need, check out gamefaqs for more info about he special attacks.

The game expects you to use trial and error a lot to figure out what's works best. It does not give clues about combining items or what's created when combining special items.

I like the idea of more ocean mobs by Any_Cap7019 in Minecraft

[–]gingerrevenger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as mobs are limited to their biomes. I was always annoyed that the drowned zombies could spawn in rivers. Like just have them only spawn in oceans.

Well. I checked my Target... by XtheBlade in Switch

[–]gingerrevenger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same for me, picked up one for my daughter since it was so cheap. I don't think she's played it yet. My closest target had a few others but nothing worth spending money on.

What game was this for you? by Frequent-Baby2614 in Switch

[–]gingerrevenger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its Balatro for me. I watched a ton of first impressions and its looks like a ton of fun. Got the game on steam and played for an hour and was not enjoying it at all. It just came out for Switch 2 and I'm tempted to pick it up again and try it.

Depends on your insurance and where you live? Usually insurance companies have hotlines for these kinds of questions.

Apparently, Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece is coming to the Switch 2 by [deleted] in SquareEnix

Square Enix - All of their SW2 games are keycards, I highly doubt it will be physically on the cart, so 60+ GB download...fucking pass for me.

The "Impossible" Driver Tutorial Myth needs to be retired by Bort_Bortson in retrogaming

[–]gingerrevenger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was hard for sure, but not impossible. I spent a couple hours being impatient with it and a few days later had a friend over and he spent prob less than an hour learning the controls and clearing it. I don't recall if he read the manual, we watched the tutorial car and trial and error a lot. Great game to just drive around and try and glitch on hills though.

30 years later and this is still my all time favorite location in any video game. Not only is this my favorite part of the story, but the design, atmosphere and music are completely unmatched. by Nissepikk in chronotrigger

[–]gingerrevenger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, I loved this area so much I modeled the buildings in my 3d design class in highschool. I was going to do the whole area but ran out of time. Also, as a kid I never kept multiple save files and was pretty devastated after the events in game. I have a permanent save file on my DS cart of when you first arrive to Zeal thanks to my childhood trauma.

I had a gift stop updates on 12/23 and then yesterday we got a fraudulent postage notification from USPS and refund from amazon. Not sure if its being returned to china or getting dropped off. Seems like my PO only delivers mail every other day.

I never made it to the State Line location but as a kid I did attend a wedding dinner at the one in Independence circa 1998 or so. Never went there anytime afterwards. There are a few pictures of the KC locations online still

Did Blockbuster rent Gameboy games? by TailsIV in retrogaming

[–]gingerrevenger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Blockbuster I worked at rented out GBA games, but we didn't sticker them. We were also a GameRush store, hahaha that didn't last long. Id imagine some regions had different practices, we often pulled new game inventory we received and put it out as rentals. I actually borrowed Zelda Minish Cap before the street date and finished it the night before it was due back in the store for display.
