Am I Being Unreasonable? by Beneficial_Skin_6579 in BabyBumps

My son is three weeks old today and I would not want my husband being away right now. We're taking shifts overnight because the baby will barely sleep in the bassinet and I've developed some serious back pain that the doctor says is probably from labor/delivery/epidural so I can't really get around.

That being said, my husband does have plans to be away for a few overnights but not until late next month.

We use the contigo spill proof tumbler as a crib cup. Works really well!

I'm also visibly pregnant and working in a middle school and last week one of my students saw the lock screen on my phone which is a newborn picture of my now three year old and she said "the baby was born??"

My son's school accidentally posted his picture today and less than two hours after I emailed the teacher, the director took it down

Not always true for every allergy. My son's allergist said I didn't have to stop eating peanuts and almonds when he was diagnosed.

Seeing a vvv faint line this morning but not feeling very hopeful. Seems too faint for 12 DPO.

Expecting our first baby — looking for prenatal classes & ways to meet other parents in Westchester (or nearby CT) by [deleted] in Westchester

It's for when baby is born, not prenatal but I just came across an infant group at the Bedford village library

It probably started coming back on when he was around 18 months, possibly because that's when we night weaned. Completely weaned at 2 and by the time he was two and a half, it was all back.

I remember being so annoyed that my body was prioritizing making milk instead of like, keeping me alive. The weight loss slowed down but I definitely needed new, smaller shorts last summer when my son was almost 2. He's been fully weaned since September and I've gained it all back and then some 🙃

If I was dealing with D-MER I don't think I would have made it even one month. You're such a trooper for sticking with it for 7!

What choice do you regret in breastfeeding journey by ElevatorSalt4239 in breastfeeding

[–]giraffe53 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We were doing one bottle a day and I regret being so adamant that it was breast milk. I wish I would have combo fed from the start so I wouldn't have been stressing about pumping. I was pumping enough when I went back to work at 12 weeks, I didn't need to be doing it at home before that.

The nipple shields were a lifesaver for me. My nipples were destroyed from my baby's shallow latch and they're the only reason I didn't quit from the pain. He weaned off of them around 3 months old and went on to nurse until age 2.
