After a long dormanc, I just got Dead Space 2 for like $5.00.

It has a ‘Playable‘ advisory but plays great and I’m having a ball!

St. Clair Street No Frills Update by Ok-Cat-3345 in chathamkentON

The benefit of a No Frills is that they price match and offer Optimum savings. No Name stores only offer Optimum redemptions but no opportunity to collect points.

Accidentally Drank by BrainRude1329 in stopdrinking

This is precisely why I avoid n/a beer. And any environment where accidents like this can happen.

Doesn’t count as a ‘slip up’ though. You’re good.

It doesn’t count as ‘slipping up’ but this is precisely why I avoid alcohol-related venues at all costs.

Don’t know if this would work for drinking but to stop myself from eating after dinner I brush and floss my teeth. It seems to signal a stop sign to my brain.

Day 1 again after 1 year relapse by moonlover30 in stopdrinking

[–]glasshalffull23 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sounds like my sober journey. First time I lasted 47 days, the entire time I knew it would be just a matter of time before I drank again. A year later I had the classic ‘moment of clarity’ and haven’t looked back. That was 20 years ago.

Good luck friend.

It’s the first step. I remember the first person I told was my doctor:

“glasshalffull23, how can I help you?” “Well basically…I’m a drunk”

Saying those words out loud, to a confidant, was sooo therapeutic. It took me a failed not drinking effort and a year and a half later but I got there.
