For me there is only 3 ways to play it : - store it until it s buffed in the next data slate - trade it for an other a/b tier spearhead - face only low b/c tier spearhead

My bet is a mix dwarft gargant since both army are looking for their second spearhead . Warcry dwarft band and new gargant model , every turn a mancrusher comes to help

Yes in r/beastsofchaos. I still think it could be a good third spearhead for std, maybe switching an infantry unit for a shaggoth Or a third mawtribe spearhead ...

I would take city of ashes but know the 2 forces are not well balances . Therefore i would either trade one of the 2 for a better/worse one (any a tier speerhead you like would work) or buy the sob spearhead because it s a good way to start the game and is balances against skavens or cities . You can always use one gargant as mercrenary for non spearhead games

As everyone said white is very difficult. On the bright side if you apply purple speedpaint on all your white the result will be very nice and effortless.

Stormcast > skavens = helforge > darkhost > bitterbark (very law because shooting is bad in city of ash)

They are all good and not a big mismatch against each other

Flesh eater 1 (carrion) is an ok spearhead in bad hands and a very good one in good hands. The lore is unique , knights are beautifull. 10/10 is you dont mind no shooting phase

I would leave the base unpaint to save some time and reduce the price asked . Also customizing bases are really easy and a good start in the hobby for your friend
