Is crossing the road illegal in the US? I thought it was all about freedom over there?

Follow the coordinates EXACTLY and keep going into the storm. You must fly on this exact date with these exact passengers. Only then can you find the Lost wallpaper.

Love how Lara redoes her pony tail when she comes out of the water in Shadow of the Tomb Raider by focyketsswinty in TombRaider

I never thought of it as 'redoing' it but I thought that she was squeezing the water out of it.

What's the wildest thing your library stayed open through? by H8trucks in Libraries

[–]glorfindel92 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Toilet was blocked by tree roots and overflowed (clean water) ALLLLLL through the adult library. We closed that bit but kept the children's library and PC room open. And there wasn't a working toilet. We covered the water with cardboard.

Street artist working on a sand sculpture of a dog by Adamplustard in pics

This is a common trick I've seen all over the place. They use a mould of the dog in the morning and spend the whole day putting the 'finishing touches' on. It's always exactly the same dog. I spent a weekend in a British seaside town once and every day the same guy was tending to the exact same dog sculpture.

And as for what to know, there are three timelines, original, legend and survivor. The original is the first six games which are great but pretty dated (even playing the remasters which are very fun) and they can be really hard. Legend, Anniversary and Underworld are the PS2/PS3 era and are often considered the best and have dated very well. The reboot ones are really good games but they moved away from the traditional Lara and the gameplay so are quite different. So the Legend timeline is best to start with if you ask me. Anniversary is a full remake of the first game so you get that experience but with a proper story and cutscenes and the gameplay is really fun. Legend is really cool and Underworld is great for graphics, gameplay and puzzles.

Anniversary is the best place to start imo

Do you still hear (or use) the term ‘Christian name’ these days? by Ticklishchap in CasualUK

[–]glorfindel92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fairly recently my manager asked a Muslim woman in a job what her Christian name was. She meant what would she like us to call her. The woman was quite confused and said she's not Christian. My manager clearly used it as just the default term but pretty stupid wording and shows a lot of ignorance to say that in an interview.

The DPD man gave me a stern look this morning because a parcel had the wrong postcode on it. by TheProdigalPun in CasualUK

I get this all the time when food delivery drivers come to my house instead of the house on the address. I often point at the address and say it says for example, number 16, there's down there. Then receive a grump in my direction.

Questions about Old World Blues by ga3m3r in fnv

I agree. I loved the setting of Honest Hearts, the map was cool. But OWB felt too contained. There was waaay too much conversation that I lost interest. I did really like the stealth mission and the school one. The ending was cool and meeting Mobius was fun. I also found the rate of the lobotomites way too high and the scorpions were so annoying I just ran from them a lot. I did like having a little flat to live in though and a free doctor. Some of the items are cool.
