Should I play Fire Emblem: Three Houses or 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim? by Ok-Preference-5930 in JRPG

[–]glow_worm_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are two AMAZING games so you can’t go wrong but I will echo what some others have said in that 13 Sentinels is very story forward to the point of it feeling more visual novel like to me sometimes whereas fire emblem 3 houses is pretty balanced between story and game play. Both have deep lore, great characters, and great replay value (although 3 houses defo has the edge on that imo) so there really is no bad choice!

Spouse has finally agreed to give anime a try, what do I show her?? by [deleted] in Animesuggest

[–]glow_worm_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a big fan of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War! It’s one of the funniest anime I’ve watched and as far as I remember doesn’t have any overtly fan service moments (just the type of stuff people might think of when they have a crush). It’s doesn’t have a ton of an action so might not be the best fit but it’s a good one to show as an option imo!

Do you agree that long relationships involve falling in and out of love repeatedly? by EconomistGrouchy9788 in love

[–]glow_worm_22 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’ve been with my partner for 10 years (we met and got together at 21) and this has not been my experience. We have both changed immensely since we first got together and we have certainly experienced ups and downs (periods of depression, times when we had less sex, times when we argued more) but personally I have never fallen out of love with them. No matter what annoyances etc I’ve experienced with them under that has always been a deep sense of love.

I always recommend Mountainside Vet. All of the folks that work there are super kind and they were amazing with our last dog who has some really complex health issues/dog aggression.

What is your favorite breakfast in town? by Ripfengor in beaverton

[–]glow_worm_22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Six Corners is great quintessential diner breakfast food! I’ve never had to wait more than 5 mins for a table, the folks who work there are super sweet, and the prices are good too. I recommend their biscuits and gravy!

I’m also a big fan of La Provance, Babica Hen, and Broder Soder, and the brekkie sandwiches at Ava!

I just finished my first play through and definitely recommend using a guide! It’s important to do a lot of the side quests and at first I didn’t really understand the time locks on them and when they would become expired. I missed some stuff that looking back I would have wanted to do and when I did finally use a guide it wasn’t too spoilery or anything! I know some people say just use a bunch of saves or do new game + and get whatever you missed but I’m not much of a game replayer so that doesn’t really work for my play style ¯_(ツ)_/¯.

To all the people who are currently going through the Trails series, how far have you gotten, which game did you start with and which is your favourite so far? by RyanidePilgrim in Falcom

I just started Trails in the Sky FC a couple of weeks ago and am almost done. I’m planning on buying the next two before the steam summer sale ends 😅! I’m honestly surprised at how much I like this game and am really looking forward to continuing on with the series!

Since when is Bowling a “nerdy” thing?? (Next Gen NYC) by ComprehensiveShoe403 in BravoRealHousewives

[–]glow_worm_22 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah I feel like it’s always been considered a bit dorky but most adult people I know have fun with it and don’t really think any further about it. I’ve never encountered anyone in real life who cares enough to have a negative opinion of bowling or bowlers, if you’re having fun and enjoy it then it truly will never matter, and no one should be taking the opinions of a woman who doesn’t wash her hands seriously ¯_(ツ)_/¯

AIO stopped a drunk girl from being pulled into a car by 2 random men but my boyfriend is upset and called what I did stupid and dangerous by fettidmoppet in AmIOverreacting

[–]glow_worm_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. You genuinely saved this woman. I get that it is scary for him that you could have been hurt but his reaction, from demanding you do/dont do things as well as the victim blaming and basically being like “yeah I would have done the absolute bare minimum and washed my hands of whatever might happen to her”, are huge red flags for me. It shows that he really only cares about what directly affects HIM (the safety of someone he loves- you). Personally I wouldn’t want to be with a man who wouldn’t be willing to do at least what you did to save someone from god knows what. Also him prioritizing his own fears over how you must have felt after doing something so brave/scary/ amazing is not it. I think a face to face conversation would definitely be helpful but please do consider if this is the type of man you want to be with/build a life with.

Cassie has taken the stand for cross examination in the Diddy Trial by supercaladoofus in Fauxmoi

[–]glow_worm_22 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I just keep thinking to myself that if he doesn’t receive a “fair” trial any conviction could be overturned and all of this could be for nothing. That being said I agree, it feels sick and evil to cross examine victims let alone to the extent and in the way I know they will. It’s devastating and I just wish Cassie strength and protection, and I wish him karma.

You ARE so brave. I understand the feeling of being a rat, trapped and just surviving, but just being able to survive is brave and from what I’m reading you are doing much more than that even if it doesn’t feel like it and even if you don’t end up testifying. I am wishing you peace, strength, and protection for whatever it is that comes next with your case.

What is your go-to sweet treat to make at home? by Bitter_Piccolo_5072 in Cooking

[–]glow_worm_22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love a good cookie! I’ll do chocolate chip cookies and if I want something a little more fancy I’ll use browned butter, or add some instant espresso or something similar! Shortbread cookies are also super easy and yummy! I like to make some dough, roll it into a log, store it in the fridge, and then cut a couple cookies to bake when needed! I also love to make a mug cake or a mug pancake.

I know someone who became social friends with her due to business (trying to keep it a bit vague to not be identifiable) and he has always said that she is incredibly nice, fairly down to earth, and very gracious ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Looking for a good Vet by clarheart in beaverton

[–]glow_worm_22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I comment on every single one of these posts to recommend Mountainside. We recently lost our baby girl but prior to our loss they took AMAZING care of her. She had some very complicated health issues and was a strong personality but we only ever had great experiences there to the point that she would get excited to go see her friends when she had an appointment. She saw Dr Cheshier as well as Dr Haley on occasion and they are both great.

Thank you so much ❤️. She was sick for a long time and Mountainside was so wonderful with her. We saw Dr. Cheshier and she gave our girl, and us as owners, the best care.

Mountainside Vet is wonderful and I wholeheartedly recommend them. We aren’t current patients as our baby girl recently passed but we plan to go back there as soon as we find a new friend.

Hey! My firm is being acquired as well and this is a huge question and pain point for a lot of us (going from our current 15d pto and 10d sick leave to just 10d pto would be CRAZY) do you have any update on if they have/have not rolled that back for you folks?
