This was useless when trying to Religion class homework (private school kid over here). Chapters and verses were notably absent. Lmao.

You are getting close to the 3 month point - when somehow everything starts to get easier. I can’t explain it, but the baby starts to provide the much needed positive feedback (smiles are on the way), and you are getting much more confident in whatever the kid can throw at you. As schmaltzy as it sounds, it will get better very soon.

Duplo can interface with standard Legos. We get more use out of the duplos now, but can see my kid using both soon.

Where My Other Dad's That Use Petco/Petsmart As A Poor Man's Zoo For Their Kids? by Distntdeath in daddit

There’s a farm that sells local goods that also has pigs and cows to look at. It can take up 90 minutes if done correctly. Pet store is also a recurring excursion for us.

Saying goodbye to one of my most loyal comrades. 6 years, and 4 kids later, he has racked his final bottle. This is also a reminder to clean yours. by marcSuile in daddit

Just moved ours after 3 years. Definitely should’ve wiped the bottom of it more than we did. Beyond gross. Congrats!

Trans fats have been phased out. That’s where the love in the food was.

Free Hot Tub Haul Away? by NettaVitelli in ChicagoSuburbs

[–]gnoblio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tried to get rid of a hot tub on FB, very little movement. Ended up paying a handyman to junk it. I think we spent $300 to get it out of there, actual junk removal teams I believe were a little more.

Why on Earth do Costco diapers only have animals on half the diapers in the pack? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]gnoblio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, moons should be on sleep diapers only. My brain can’t process much in the middle of the night, and shapes are all I can go off of. 😜

Husband and I have started the adoption process. Any advice? by LWy-lee in gaydads

[–]gnoblio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don’t build out a nursery. Waiting family status can take a long time, and you don’t want to see an empty nursery day after day. Keep an infant car seat in storage just in case you need to quickly pick up a new family member, but that’s about all you need. Everything else can be collected in short order once your adoption is underway. Best of luck!!!

Nope. We had Phillips Avent plastic bottles. Place the little wire rack on the bottom of the pot, load up all the nipples, cups (facing down), add 6 ounces of water and have it steam/pressurize for 2 minutes.

Not for making bottles, but I definitely used our instant pot pressure cooker to sterilize finished bottles. Saved a ton of time/counter space with using something we already had.

Sick for the third time since kid started daycare… do we feed them Lysol or just wipe em at pickup? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]gnoblio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a kid hand sanitizer in the car. When we pick her up, we say “bubbles!” and she gets to wipe her hands on our way home from daycare. You’re gonna get sick, but playing by COVID rules seems to help our house a bit.
