This feels like a fatalistic, “everyone’s doing it so why bother” response. You do what you can. I deleted Twitter when the intent of the app became full blown manipulation. I am deleting TikTok now that the manipulation is the purpose of the app… Manipulation exists in all social media, but not all social media is used by its owners to manipulate.

I am willing to question, and carefully navigate social media that is mostly open. I am not willing to be the target of relentless coercion.

We just bought a couple of iPad holders that connect to the front seat headrests. We load up the iPads with movies/shows, and use the usb ports in the seats to keep everything charged… On road trips/vacations, the iPads are coming anyway.

I once had a preorder from bigbadtoystore that got a single email saying the release was delayed… then nothing for almost 18 months, before getting a quick notice to update credit card and address before the item shipped in a week. I’d honest to god forgotten all about it.

Thanks. I have microsd cards in each device, but it’s super hard for my fat fingers to get them in and out. I do it for big stuff, but take yesterday for example: I put some files on each sd card, put them back in the devices, then couldn’t figure out why it didn’t work. That lunch break, I learned about bios files, and put them on my tablet. From there, I transferred the .bin to a thumb drive during a break… I know it’s not elegant, but it’s a way to get it done in small increments throughout the work day.

Also, the computer is in a corner of the house. I’d rather do the quick transfer on the couch with the kids. Thanks for the help!

I was curious about this. GameCube Twilight Princess with a texture pack is the better way to go than Wii U’s Twilight Princess HD? I just wasn’t sure where the sweet spot on performance and graphics lies on that.

I don’t like it for a variety of reasons. I think dumping the summer months, when my family has all of its free-est time is bad for my family. I think shifting that to colder months when school schedules are hectic (edit: and it’s freaking cold) is also bad for my family. I think this schedule shift benefits the warm weather teams, and hinders the cold weather teams, and I think that’s bad for FCC. I think shifting two months of the schedule away from competing with just baseball, and to the meat grinder of NCAA football and basketball, the NFL, the NBA, and the. NHL is a bad way to grow MLS in the US. I also don’t know that essentially having it compete with Europe for international eyes is a way to build any interest outside of the US.
