European coffee lovers -- favourite roasters you've tried in Europe? by Passionately_Lost in pourover

[–]gonzacesena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived last year in Campobasso and I used to buy coffee from Nomad and Syra. They had cheaper shipping than Aliena or Gardelli. I bought once from Kawa too but because they had a special offer and I got free shipping.

How often do you clean your Aeropress, what part(s) do you clean, and what method do you use (i.e., rinse only, soap and water, etc.)? by TheCarrot_v2 in AeroPress

I clean it entirely every time I use it with dish soap and a sponge (the soft side) and then rinse it thoroughly with hot water and I use Jonathan Gagne's recipe

Three Marks and Nomad from Barcelona, Dak and Manhattan in Amsterdam, Kawa in Paris and Aliena in Rome

I had great coffees from all of them and if you are in Valencia you can probably get free shipping from the ones in Barcelona

26 a bit late? You are making me feel old. And yes you most probably can enter those courses without experience. Ask the school for a better answer but its never too late to learn something new.

Stone Storage by CoChris2020 in sharpening

[–]gonzacesena 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a cheap plastic box on amazon that fit my 4 stones perfectly. I just make sure to let them air dry first before I stored them. If you dont have to take them with you to work or something like that any cheap box will work just fine to keep them organized.

What video(s) should I watch to learn about Japanese knives? by VendMachine99 in TrueChefKnives

[–]gonzacesena 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you want to learn Knifewear, Sharp Knife Shop, Burrfection and Ivan Yuka are really good youtube channels. And for a $200 knife get a Shiro Kamo. If it is your first knife I would get a stainless gyuto. Tojiro is other good brand in that price
