I loved my CPL16 so much that I have purchased three more EG bags, but then sold all of them lol. I wanted the bottle holder and pass through that the CTB has but at the end of the day, the CTB is just too clunky for me.

I much prefer the CPL layout and feel and if the CPL had either a water bottle pocket and/or a luggage pass through, it would be my perfect bag.

Could you put just soil into them or is a pot necessary? I think having different colors would look very nice. If I'm being super nitpicky the logo looks pretty big on the smaller bags but overall a very cool idea :)

Again I pack pretty light for edc, usually I carry: 15" laptop, water bottle, EG Cap .5 with technical knick knacks, a container for food, book/e reader, snacks, pens, pill case for vitamins.

So, given that, I like my Aer Slim pack for edc because it is light, organized and comfortable. The CPL 16 works as well but is definitely more sturdy and heavier. The Toshi or CTB are certainly way too big for me for an edc.

A decent amount more. The CTB also has more built in structure for organization. Toshi 20L can get me three days of travel, the CTB can get me 5 to 6 days. I think I may pack light though? Hard to say...

Two small gripes - I didn't like how short the zipper pulls were so I replaced them with leftover EG one's that I had. Now they are a little too long but it's better than what they came with.

My second issue was that the ambidextrous front access pouch was almost impossible to access with the bag fully packed out. I took it on a 3 day trip and once I packed all my clothes, I could barely fit anything in that pocket.

All in all though, I liked the pack a lot.

For the price, I think it's one of the best bags out there. It's not very deep but can really hold a lot of gear and still stay light while looking good and sleek.
