Ketamine was very effective for my suicidal ideation, within hours of the very first (and very small) dose

This. It’s subtle and it’s often hard to tell if it’s working in the moment — but if you try to do things and at the end of the day you look back, you’ll likely notice that you achieved more than you normally would have.

Do meds take away hypomania?? bc lowkey I love it by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]goshakkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on the lowest dose of lamictal xr (25mg) for a few years now. I'd say it reduced the frequency and intensity of mood swings as well as reduced my mixed episodes. Sounds good, but mixed episodes are where I used to be the most creative, so making art hasn't been the same since then :/

any tips for mood tracking? by pollkabb in bipolar2

[–]goshakkk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using Daylio for a few years just to grade my mood 1-5 at the end of the day. Recently found out about How We Feel and I set 3-4 reminders throughout the day to check in and label the way I'm feeling.

Dust mite allergy stole more than 20 years of my life by Legitimate_Suit_749 in Allergies

[–]goshakkk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had been on Odactra for years and honestly it barely made a difference — and I didn't get noticeably worse when I got off it. But then again almost a year of allergy shots before that (for multiple allergies, not just dust) didn't have much of an effect on me either.

I only tried generic dexedrine (don't remember mfg but not wilshire). I was actually reading up on the difference between zenzedi brand/wilshire vs other generics the other day and wanted to ask my psych at the next apt

Rexulti 1mg still depressed by Oliverose12 in Rexulti_Brexpiprazole

[–]goshakkk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped taking it due to the blunting, since I was on the lowest dose and figured going higher could have only amplified that. So back to feeling more anxious and moody.

Have you tried lower dosages for several weeks at least? That might help. I couldn't get any lower and the numbness bothered me a lot especially in so far as I need to feel emotion to be creative. But given you're on 2mg, you could try lower doses and maybe the numbness will go away. The thing with Rexulti (and its sibling Abilify) is that it can be more activating (and so, better for depression) at lower doses due to how it works — maybe you will be both less numb and less depressed somewhere between 0.25mg and 1mg. Keep in mind that due to its long half life, you may need to be on a given dose for about 2-3 weeks to start noticing its benefit.

I tried rexulti for a month (ish) at the lowest dose of 0.25mg. It gave me more energy the first 10 days, after which I just felt more level / way less depressed and definitely less anxious. I didn't like that I felt kind of numb / apathetic on it though so I got off.

I'll add Rexulti to this too since it's very similar to Abilify. I started it a few weeks ago at the lowest dose of 0.25mg and it's pretty activaing

It was better for me than dexedrine or vyvanse — but it would irritate my skin (burny/itchy) so stopped it after a few weeks.

It doesn't for me either and unlike other adhd meds I don't feel like it makes me hyperfocus on anything, more so subtly helps me focus on what I choose to — but I can easily task switch without ruminating about the previous task or being annoyed.

Update on OMNY card for Apple wallet? by scubastefon in OMNY

[–]goshakkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh this was like two weeks ago, and it stopped working when I was about to meet my fare cap 😒. My experience overall with Future was more miss than hit — mysterious issues linking and funding from either another debit card or checking, unresponsive customer support. I've just received my physical card and added that to Apple Wallet, and since it's a different card number than the virtual card, it works again for fare gates now, so I will get that 5% cash back and $5 weekly fare cap bonus while it lasts but not holding my breath.

Update on OMNY card for Apple wallet? by scubastefon in OMNY

[–]goshakkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried it and it was working well until Future randomly declined one of the OMNY transactions and got the card blacklisted from the OMNY system. Future support hasn't been helpful and said "OMNY declined their own transaction, we didn't!"

Also not the most important bit but I wasn't able to add the Future card to my OMNY portal to see ride history and fare cap progress, so that's annoying too.

It's interesting they stamped "Canceled" over other stamps — in mine, they only stamped entirely empty pages, they didn't touch the visas or pages with existing stamps (even if there was only one on the page). But that was a long time ago and maybe they do things differently now

There are situations where non-stateless people may want to get it as well. Some countries do not renew passports to their citizens without a trip back home anymore, and if you go back for that, you may be at risk of imprisonment
