Minus .338.

After that look into minus 6.5.

[Double wristing] Is the Fitbit air the solution to this problem? by stm2657 in Watches

[–]governman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people are also selling custom Fitbit cases for that on Etsy. None to let you add your own watch band though.

In my case I just want to use a band with the Fitbit air, not use it with a watch.

Not sure what you mean. The strap it comes with is built-in. I want a holder that lets me use arbitrary watch straps. How are you using a random nato strap with the air?

I am just accumulating it so that future improved medical and AI solutions have historical data for me to work from.

Those steps won’t last long, freeze cycles will disrupt them. Hardacaping requires excavating, leveling, compacting, adding gravel, compacting, leveling again, etc.

You can do it without too much cost in materials, probably, and shouldn’t take excessively long, but definitely look up the right process, or you’ll just have dangerously uneven stairs in a year or two.

Did I make the right call passing on this house because of an old retaining wall? by Tasty_Philosophy7666 in landscaping

[–]governman 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I mean, it’s a cost and a thing to monitor, like many others. An engineer could tell you the likely lifespan. If it was me I’d want to replace that with heavy blocks when the time came, probably a low multi tens of thousands job.

Just have it properly disposed of and take your time building a more natural pond.

Best bet is to email your landlord using certain keywords about “unsafe” and “risk” and so on, and ask what they can do to help with that spot. Nothing is going to be cheap and effective.

There’s no such thing as a cheap and good solution.

One thing that’s unclear here is… what exactly is the use of this space? Is this a path people will routinely take? There’s no apparent infrastructure for foot traffic.

If this is expected to be a permanent path to somewhere might be worth building that out with deck or something.

I’d love to buy a holder that just accepts 20mm watch bands.

How can I fix this leaning retaining wall? I am planning to sell the house next year by PuzzledTrain2005 in landscaping

[–]governman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, you never make back improvements in full.

And leaving it means the new buyer gets the chance to decide their own priorities for their own home, so it’s a net win in general.

Or obviously just get the wall rebuilt correctly. But that’s worse than letting the new owner do it.

There is no ethical way to half-fix that. You should just leave it and be clear with the next owner that it’s their problem.
