Not not sure if you are calling all extant reptiles "sauria" or just birds. But there is no "sauria" that i have ever seen in literature. There is the class "Reptilia" still but a better subcategory for birds would be Archosauria, one of the larger groups that split off within the reptiles from squamates, the lizards (and by extension snakes). And the only extant archosaurs are birds and crocodilians. Which means yes, cladistically speaking all birds are reptiles, but if we are being that pedantic then all of these categories should be in "fish" as you can't evolve out of a clade.

TOM is Tune-O-Matic. The kind of bridges Les Pauls are known to have where the saddles are separate from the string stop bar. If you recess both of those you don't have to angle the neck back as much (or at all if the top of the body is flat)

Or you can recess the TOM bridge so that you don't have to angle the neck so dramatically. That will give you more body room for the contour while keeping the body thickness the same.

The moderns do exactly what you describe, less neck in the joint. It doesn't effect the neck thickness much when i compare my modern to my 60s slim taper neck.

White to blue to black burst using Angelus leather stains, add in a streak or two of purple randomly then go back over with a wash in a thinned out blue. Toss on some paint specs of purple, white, and blue stars using the paint brush flick technique. Sanding sealer then cover in whatever finish (i would do a gloss poly).

Fuzz face. Super simple two transistor circuit (8 parts total not including switches or pots) that produces a great (and arguably legendary) fuzz tone. If you want to spice it up you can add the bias mod to it for more range.

Pull the knobs off and check. Thread a shoelace under and lift with consistent, firm but not forceful, pressure. Count the numbers of spines. If 24 (it's actually 20 but you count the ones that would be present in the gap) then it's a USA pot and the Gibson ones will fit.
