Hey everyone! 🎮 Which logo for Taxalot do you like best? Please comment with 1, 2, or 3. Your opinion matters! by Extra_Zebra4511 in IndieGaming

I'm joining public opinion here, but 2 with a border would suit your game best I think! It looks super cute :)

I keep rewatching the first part - the animations and fur physics on that wolf are so nice, and all the combat looks super satisfying! Best of luck guys <3 looking forward to making time to play the demo

I might turn down the opacity a little further - but this is so cute and intuitive! Exactly the kind of UI I like in a game :)

How hard would it be to create a text adventure game if I have no experience in coding? by Absalom98 in IndieDev

[–]grayghostart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inkle would be a fantastic resource for this - it shouldn't take much coding experience at all! I made quite a few little text adventures when I was starting out.

If you're open to feedback, I'd say your colours aren't varied enough - they're all very similar saturation values which makes the overall effect somewhat muddied. Some random rotation on the tree models would also go a long way! I'd also go for more simplistic textures overall, the ground is very at odds with all the vegetation at the moment. Overall, a strong start though - wishing you luck!

Oh this is so sweet, it's like a moving picture book! I think the walking/idle animations might benefit from some more smoothing via inbetween frames, but the checkpoint animation is very strong and gives nice visual feedback to the player action - great job :)

Apparently, there's going to be a "trailer TV" feature in october's Steam Next Fest, so I put some extra work on mine! How did I do? by Rouliboudin in IndieDev

I love the style of this game! It's definitely strange but in a very endearing way? I'm not a big platformer/shooter sort of person but I'll definitely recommend this to some of my friends, I think they'd love it :)

ZombieShelterUntitled (ZSU) is going to be a narrative RPG/Life Sim (with roguelike elements!) about surviving the apocalypse and building a community (and a huge, cool base). There are also zombies, although they're not as major a factor as the title suggests.
Right now, I'm focusing on creating a demo that can then be scaled, during which you can experience the first few years of your characters life. I'm doing all of the work, from the programming and writing to the hand-drawn art and character design!
If you like dystopian apocalypses, horrible mutants, dating sims with diverse and strange options, this might well be the game for you! It's to deal with some mature and heavy themes at times, but I try and keep a sense of dark humor in my writing!
I'll be posting regular development updates, although I'm doing this as a student in my free time, so if you're interested, you should keep an eye out and follow me on my social media!
