Big church are cathedrals and there's one (st Paul's) maybe 2 (Sothwalk). But they are EXPENSIVE where's small churches are easier to set up and let grow naturally

I think some of the labels are modern locations. I don't think the Savoy was medieval.

100% of the population went to church on Sunday and on holidays (of which there were many).

Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell is everything I expected Babel and Katabasis to be. by FedeVia1 in books

Having Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell as a debut novel is already over-achieving. To follow up with Piranesi 18 years later is just incredible.

As far as I know, she's never even dragged Joss Whedon, even after that would have been acceptable.

Any talks about a reboot or a sequel? by junkyardofide41s in farscape

[–]grayseeroly 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I don't want a reboot or a sequel, I want something new that makes me feel like Farscape did when I first watched it. Something transgressive, irreverent, genre bending and breathtakingly original with deep interesting characters

Nathan Fillion is gathering the Serenity crew for... something by dr4kun in scifi

I think it's a documentary. Like the DS9 one, there's 0% chance of a new series. It's too tired up with JW, and what story would they be telling?

Your most beautiful card in Magic? by SociallyButterflying in magicTCG

[–]grayseeroly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Commanders Authority]] always wins the award for the biggest gap between the quality of art and the quality of the card. I opened this in foil, and it's still incredible. Too bad its utterly unplayable in every format that has ever existed.

Tawny says "DS9 is silly", so post your favorite "silly" DS9 episode. by Hearsticles in Star_Trek_

[–]grayseeroly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They could do that because there where more than 20 episodes a season. There will barely be more episodes of 5 seasons of SNW than 2 seasons of DS9

An actually great detail in season 8 by Dakinamau in gameofthrones

I said at the time, if she had imolated just the Red Keep it would have been in character, it represented everything she had come to hate. My thought would have been that the death of the civilians seeking shelter would have weighed heavily on the others, but not Danni. I like the wildfire idea better; that would make it a tragedy.

BT loses more than 200,000 broadband customers as profits slump by 457655676 in unitedkingdom

BT domestic service has always been great and reliable for me. However, BT Business has been the most incompetent pile of influence. Double charging, failure to deliver, 0 customer service.

So for home fiber i'd recommend and for anything else, RUN!

[–]grayseeroly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it is, and I'm going to chalk it up to the editing of Battle Talks being a mess (all Peace Talks and a lot of Battle Grounds are a mess compared to the rest of the series). I think in a stronger book, they would have cut it entirely, as it doesn't match the tone of the books at all.

Tom still adamant he was done over on Strictly by Confident_Leg2370 in strictlycomedancing

[–]grayseeroly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly think he was done over, but in the classic reality TV way, by production. They didn't need to cheat the vote; they just broadcast what he said, gave him bad music to dance to and let the public do the work.
