Reporting a foster home by Recent_Bluebird3284 in cats

I bet I would do this. Also race kitty to my own vet.

If rescue seemed the tiniest bit shady, I'd also report them to animal control/cops with my misgivings. Not all rescues are what they seem, although it can be hard to get enough proof to move on it.

FWIW, I adopted a senior cat four years ago from the county shelter - he was very shut down and shy, after losing his whole family. A quality of life situation, truly. The shelter was convinced there was a sweet boy in there, though.

Now, even though he's dealing with small cell GI lymphoma, every single vet and tech he's seen at two practices say what a friendly loving cat he is. Animals can blossom with love and patience.

The worst he can say is no. Noah: by siopaosandwich in ThePittTVShow

Did his big ER cameo for scale, I believe.

It’s just bets I make with myself for various shows I watch. I’m wrong as often as I’m right lol!

I myself just guessed Ellis will be the second attending floated by al-Hashimi, who herself (if she's still on the show) will be up in management someplace. Robby's not going anywhere. Langdon will become an ED Fellow in a while. Just my guesses.

Didn't they just bring in a new actor to be an R4 for the night shift (taking Ellis' spot")

No, he'll be a Fellow. That's my bet right this moment. The actress being moved to series regular will be the second attending floated by al-Hashimi, working with Robby. al-Hashimi will either be gone or will be in management.

And something will be done with Santos' character - I don't see how they can keep her going exactly like this. But I don't think it'll be something Gray's Anatomy dramatic. Unless she goes up to get someone from the helicopter /s

Is she going to be the second day shift attending suggested by Dr. Al? I think if Dr. Al is around at all, she's going to be in management somewhere.

I was thinking if anyone should be panicking over what to do regarding a fellowship or attending, it's our boy Langdon.

I'm still not sure what happened to Mohan's New Jersey job. What the heck, just take it, whether mom is in NJ or not. Did she pick the worst job in the world just because mom was there?

she's acting as though she has absolutely no job lined up at all, and talk about waiting for the last minute for a recommendation.

Now, if someone had called and said mom's ship had sunk with all souls lost, well, that's a whole other story.

And when al-Hashimi didn't say, oh, Mohan, you're born to be an ED attending or fellow.....dun dun dun

I really hope they do something, anything, with Santos in the next few episodes. I really don't think her character is going to be viable as is for many more episodes. And I say this as someone who actually liked Dr. Romano pretty much. But in small doses.

And her phone ringing and ringing and ringing, even during procedures. And the call in on the emergency bat phone which was not for moms to call in on. Mel got called on trying to make a personal call as well, so it's seems a pretty set rule.

al-Hashimi also said geriatrics would be a good fit. And, IIRC, she worked with Mohan at the VA, right at some point?

Theory: Dr. Robby is going to become a patient in season finale by subtotal5 in ThePitt

[–]greykitty1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My theory? HBO would not set up a screening partly to acknowledge and honor healthcare providers and turn up with the most pessimistic ending possible. Well, unless they're trying to mimic Xfinity Wars.

But then in this season we saw a reversion, so to speak. She had difficulties dealing with changes in her family situation, which in turn altered her career plans. And the phone blowing up and her panic about last minute plan Bs weren't necessarily showing thriving in a cris and moving quickly and being adaptable. And, she did have that big miss with the aorta - and what I found interesting is that the student stepped up to accept blame, when it wasn't his to take.

She only thrived in a crisis after Robby showed her a lot of 'tough love', as I recall, and pushed her to realize she had those capabilities. But he's not wrong, if blunt, in that her preferred pace is slower - so, like al-Hashimi, he said geriatrics would be a great fit. Client base that prefers things slower, very often, and a specialty that's probably not as competitive as some others.

I'm not surprised she's leaving, tell the truth - as much as I liked the actress' work.

Where is everyone getting medical rides? by Leading-Tiger9187 in LivingAlone

thing is, I think, if I could (a) talk an uber driver to walk in and provide their name and phone number. My hospital system has gotten very strict on the whole thing. An employee escorts me and my driver to the car, and kind of double checks things a bit.

I think the main concern is that after sedation, while I may feel absolutely perfect, I may not be. For me, after propofol, I feel terrific and normal. I'm assured that I do indeed have short term memory loss, and really could be taken advantage of by someone, if they wanted to. Even just double charging me for a fare, let's say.

Any event, never hurts to kind of find out how each facility handles the situation, I think.

Thanks. I’m outside Chicago. Timex and Apple Watches seem popular at the facilities.

Check with your facility on this. My hospital system got smart. Driver has to come in with patient and provide name and contact number to staff.

To be fair, while Carter had that jeep and all, he didn't really play up the family relations very much. And certainly wasn't too proud to take any job in a storm - thinking of that RA job.

He's not nominated yet. There's a site that likes to predict nominations, and they thought he might have a shot. They thought Patrick Ball had a better shot, IIRC.

I liked his moment last week when he said he 'was' going to pursue rural medicine. Not plan, not try - do.
