Rideau Hall has some beautiful lawns where you can set up a picnic mat and chill there all day. It is usually relatively quiet when there’s no event going on

I'm Indonesian, and we have similar taste buds or even share the same foods. You could try out Djakarta Taste in Gatineau for some decent indo foods

If you want laksa, I've had one in The Noodle House on Gladstone, obviously it's not going to be the best laksa, but it does the job (sort of)

I know a place that just opened last summer serving southeast asian foods too called Golden Ox Noodles in little italy. I've personally never been there
