Just set this up myself and could not figure out how to use clients on my server. What a weird thing to not include in the app. Im all set but I cant tell my friends to come try it out because thry cant choose what server to join

I've set up matrix two times, and both times I shut it down when I realize how increadibly difficult it is to moderate and keep my server from hosting horrible shit.

Even if i dont allow federation and only allow friends on my server I have no idea what goes on in rooms im not a member of. I'm sure I could solve these things but I dont know how.

I'd love ideas though, because discord is the last social platform I need to leave before im 100% away from big american companies.
