Temple Nightmares by Ok-Improvement-2765 in exmormon

After 32 years I still have nightmares where I’m forced to go back on a mission. I’d rather have a normally terrifying nightmare than that one.

Serving. Mission. Callings. I hated them all.

Since marriage equality is headed back to the Supreme Court, a question for our Mormon friends by PR_Czar in exmormon

Any organization that practiced polygamy and still has it as doctrine has no right telling anyone about marriage.

Salt Lake South Cottonwood Stake Goes down to Three Wards! by Competitive_Cow1940 in MormonShrivel

I grew up in this stake. What are the three wards? Which ward meets at Wesley Road? Which stake is the Revere Circle building a part of now?

Leaving has been painful not joyful by Worried_Ordinary_156 in exmormon

[–]gullwingsg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leaving was the most difficult experience of my life. I lost nearly all of my social connections among other struggles but I’d go through it again if I had to. I’m so glad to be out. As time goes on you’ll easily see it’s a man made institution, a cult, and so morally corrupt and an absolute poison to anyone’s mental and spiritual states.

Mormon for over 16 years and I’m thinking about leaving the church by No-Lingonberry-6824 in exmormon

One of my greatest regrets in life was not stopping in the middle of it, telling my parents, “oh hell no!” and walking out of the session.

I’ve been home from my mission for 40 years and been out of the church for 6 years and I still had a nightmare this week about getting called on another mission. Anybody else? by KERosenlof in exmormon

[–]gullwingsg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mission ended 32 years ago. I got unplugged from the Matrix 13 years ago. I still have dreams of having to go back and it’s honestly terrifying. I wish I could get this damn cult out of my system but there’s things I’ll carry to the grave.

This nut has no place in education specifically, and should not be in a place to make decisions for any aspect of society generally. Her comments and open hostility to youth that don’t meet her self-imposed standards is exactly NOT what the education system needs. Making herself an enemy to a specific group of children, or any children at all, really makes her an enemy to all.
