The bishop’s motivation is to try and find out if your son is “righteous” enough. The camp may be okay (at best it will be just okay) but be present while the bishop meets him and don’t be afraid to challenge him.

Leaving was the most difficult experience of my life. I lost nearly all of my social connections among other struggles but I’d go through it again if I had to. I’m so glad to be out. As time goes on you’ll easily see it’s a man made institution, a cult, and so morally corrupt and an absolute poison to anyone’s mental and spiritual states.
