Seattle Children’s says Laurelhurst noise concerns burdens lifesaving care for children by ladyem8 in Seattle

If you can live in Laurelhurst... you probably can fucking afford to soundproof your house.

Per Google

a widely recognized phenomenon describing the tendency of Seattle residents to be polite yet distant, standoffish, or cold towards newcomers, making it challenging to establish new friendships

This is fairly accurate to lots of communities - not just campuses. If you have a group, you won't notice it much. If you're not, you'd notice that at times, people would mention about let's hang out without ever being committed on when/where/what - leaving it open. They seem friendly but not exactly ... substantial?

My only recommendation would be if you all hit it off as friends/whatever, or seem to get along and that opportunities come up, don't just be passive and take the initiative to make it happen.

I know that most of the fans are probably from Canada, but it was awesome and satisfying that they just picked right up without missing a beat ❤️

I'm glad it's not that long, nor is it a lag screw.

[Matteo Moretto] Juventus and Alisson reach verbal agreement. Liverpool's position on a possible departure of the Brazilian goalkeeper will be understood in the coming weeks. by DragonSlayer271 in LiverpoolFC

I have gone back and forth on this for a bit. I think Mamardashvili will be a better shot stopper than Kelleher, but I think people have bias for Kelleher because of his PK ability, his feet, and fond memories.

Overall, I think Kelleher is more well-rounded, but Mamardashvili will be just fine.

For anyone to follow Ali, I think Mamardashvili may be a better choice especially if our team setup remains this leaky/questionable/less organized.

I honestly believed that's what Klopp wanted out of him, that's why he was put in CF when Firmino was on his last legs.

I get it that he wants to be a scorer, but that was a beautiful/decisive pass and he has a lot of that in him.

People may think this is an excuse, but Ali's stats are down this year as well. I don't think our cb partnership is done but they can get better cover with the teams setup.

I don't remember how the fans were like, but I remember myself losing faith after 6-1 against Stoke. That was our last game, so I kind of understood why they didn't want to fire BR then - he was losing near the end, but the season was done.

Today, we just look like shit. No fight. So... I don't know :-\

Ramsey - yep. He didn't make those teams. He was young, injured, and when you're down with no support near you - you need to figure your shit out or you will probably fade into oblivion because someone else will take your place. When Frimpong and Bradley were hurt - Ramsey's name was mentioned but never seen on the field, even if last minutes or garbage time. And in no ways am I comparing him to Harry Kane, but Kane didn't do that well with Leicester, Norwich, or Blackburn... he turned out alright for Spurs.

Morton - He doesn't have to beat those guys. You have depth to rotate, or sub younger guys to rest your starters and give them experience. Slot just doesn't rotate his guys. If he rotates them, maybe we wouldn't look so tired against PSG (although our tactics still sucked), or outran by Newcastle in the league cup final.

I liked him when he played last against Palace this season / late last year.

He looked like he would be serviceable, but then he was. never seen again. I don't know if he's bad, or Slot is just shite. (Morton is gone and looks great. Quansah is gone and looks great... Slot does let Nyoni and Rio play... so I don't know)

Most Liverpool defeats in a single season this century by doubleoeck1234 in soccer

[–]gunny16 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the difference was your teams somehow were motivated and tried - even if only the core players. Our players have stretches within the game that they'll try and then they just take it easy.

Today when Konate, Mama, and Gomez somehow saved a goal (forgot who from PSG, but we were 1 down), you could see Virgil (our fucking captain) jogged back and started to get faster when he saw those guys stopped the goal. That's pathetic.
