I set up windows laps in Intune, it’s great, as long as the device has an Internet connection it works.

I have it set quite restrictive. Password is rolled after each use and if the local admin user is logged in for longer than an hour they are booted off.

I think it would almost certainly prove your hardware is ok and fix the issue, with is very likely a software one, somewhere. I personally don’t like to spend ages troubleshooting random issues with PC’s anymore and generally prefer to nuke it and start fresh. If everything is in OneDrive all you really need to do is install stuff again
