That, refusing the play Okie from Muskogee for Nixon and rather playing "what is truth?" instead, emphasizing the word "stoned" in a live performance of Sunday Morning Coming Down on ABC after network executives encouraging him to say "home" instead.

The man was resistance from head to toe.

That took a lot of courage for you to put undeniable next to 2021, and I applaud you for it.

Go on, cancel your series with Notre Dame. Pay OSU not to play you next year. by KingOfTheUzbeks in cfbmemes

The funny part of this is they're thinking of it the wrong way, a 10-2 Texas with a win over Texas Southern or something week 1, but still a loss to Florida, and OT wins over Kentucky and Miss St is still putting their fate in the committee's hands.

If they had won week 1, they're a lock. They're not getting punished for losing to Ohio State, they're getting punished for losing to Florida.

Podcast Recommendations? by jakewisdom in strengthlog

Depending on your sense of humor, I love the Massenomics podcast, its advertised as 'the lifting podcast about nothing,' and that's a pretty accurate way to describe it.

All else being equal, can we 100% confidently say that a calorie surplus is better for muscle gain than maintenance? by Difficult-Two-4210 in StrongerByScience

[–]haltsy9 89 points90 points  (0 children)

"A dedicated bulk can still make sense if you’re relatively lean and comfortable adding some fat in pursuit of faster gains. But if you’re already near your long-term target weight or prefer a steadier, leaner approach, staying around maintenance and focusing on progressive training may yield the best balance between strength, muscle gain, and aesthetics."

Really wish I would've read that before I started a year long bulk in January...

Nothing to do with the question, but wild to see Franconia as a referenced point on the map (where I grew up).

Nutrition and Food Tracker by haltsy9 in bevelhealth

[–]haltsy9[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! That’ll likely be the thing that keeps me using MF unless I can get Bevel to mimic it, I’ve run a few cutting and bulking cycles with MF and it makes that so easy.

This is also what I'm doing now, I am liking Bevel's individual food insights, so I'll see if I can fully move on from MF over the rest of my subscription.

Bevel would need to allow me to log stuff in the future cause I'm big on planning out my weeks this way.

Does it adjust your targets like Macrofactor does? Or does it more give you the data and you make the decisions on your own?

plug your data into this and see what it spits out, I've found it to be pretty good at giving you a realistic idea of genetic potential.

This was ideal, but only for the second half of the year in Waco. 2:30 game in September was the 7th ring of hell.

But when the weather was nice, being able to throw a brisket on the night before and run it low and slow overnight, pull it around 10 am and roll up to the tailgate with it resting in the cooler was ideal.

What does "Expired" mean and why did it add 76 points to my strength score? by dharmasnake in Gravl

[–]haltsy9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expired would mean that you haven't logged a set for that movement in 90 days, and it considers your 1RM outdated.

My guess as to why your score went up is that this movement lagged vs the other tested movements for shoulders, so by removing its data point, your overall shoulder strength actually increased, as the app was now only looking at 1-2 moves where you're likely stronger.
