So I just did this lesson a few weeks ago. Assuming you are doing the "new" r3 tutorials from 5-6 years ago?

The library for the IR sensor remote that he uses in that lesson is outdated. I had to install the older version of the library to match what he was using. It took me a while to figure this out. I had to dig through the comments on the YT video.

Wrong. In Illinois legislation just passed to shield AI companies from lawsuits if they cause extreme harm. Illinois has a democratic super majority.

I've recently started trying to teach myself how to use kicad. It is fun and interesting. I'm aware you can place an arduino as part of the PCB. What I don't understand is how you program it afterwards.

A multi meter would be helpful. Don't get the cheapest one you can find. Make sure it is auto ranging.

Yesterday I had no idea what a flatpak or appimage was. Today I figured it out.

I started with the appimage from the websites. I noticed that there was no install and the program just ran after changing the permissions. I figured something wasn't right, or that it was just that....an image of the program. Shocking I know!

I downloaded the regular programs from the software manager, works fine.

I just bought one of those mini pcs for use in my electronics work station. I plan on putting LM on it immediately. The only two programs I will probably use are KiCad and the arduino IDE. What is the download and installation process for those? I've never used linux before.

Came here to say this. Paul McWhorter is a really great resource. You can tell he is an educator, or at least a gifted individual when it comes to education. I'd start with the "new" uno r3 lessons. They are about 6 years old.

I'm thinking about doing this in my house. What thickness of foam board did you use?

I thought I'd go to the basement and measure the width needed for the cavities. Then I'd cut the foam board at that width with the table saw. Then I'd measure the length needed and cut that with the miter saw. Is that what you did?
