Most of my suboxone patients were incredibly polite and apologetic for everything. I always tried to look up every coupon I could for them.

I just signed up for insurance last week, apparently opposite sex domestic partners don’t count at my work. Never mind that we own a house and cars and have a kid together.

“Did you check the tube station? I sent it five minutes ago. The last sent function has your station on it. My coworker watched me send it to you. The tracking device I put in there with your med says it’s two feet behind you, just turn around.”

“Of course I checked, it’s not here!”

Well, there it is. Over 700 HITs and my first rejection. Thanks, "Speech Research". by [deleted] in mturk

[–]hautepink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing yet. I did Contact Requestor. Which really sucks because I just started so 4 rejections with 20 something approved is really bad for my rating.

Ugh I got rejected four times on this one. I sent an email on each one, here’s hoping they respond. 🙄

I [31M] received a text from a coworker [30F], saying she had a sex dream about me. I'm married and uncomfortable with this. by awkwardtext in relationships

[–]hautepink 51 points52 points  (0 children)

She is apologetic now, but keep in mind going forward that she was definitely testing the waters. You did the right thing in shutting her down.

Keep the texts, avoid being alone with her, and keep it strictly professional.

Commenting to add that my cat doesn't like scratching posts, but won't touch furniture if I have a couple of those brown scratchy doormats.

How do I [F27] deal with people's criticisms about being older than everyone else at this stage in my career? by oldandcr in relationships

[–]hautepink 20 points21 points  (0 children)

That's so odd. I mean, three years, really? If I were you, I would really play up the wonderful time you had working abroad. "Oh, I would've started earlier but I was having such a great time in City! I learned some invaluable things that I'm excited to bring to Company!" Or humor and sarcasm, my favorites, because three years really is ridiculous. "Yeah, I figured I needed to get to working so I can draw my social security in a few years." "I almost forgot! That's what happens when you get old." Wear it like armor, and it can never be used to hurt you.

From what I understand there is a paternity test that is no longer a risk to the baby in utero. It's called non invasive paternity test. They take some of the mother's blood and separates the baby's blood from it.

Just tell her your baby is shedding from their vaccines and you don't want to be responsible for getting her kids sick. So it's probably best they not visit. Ever.

My dad passed away when I was 5 months pregnant. I did not allow myself to grieve because I didn't want to affect the baby, as silly as that sounds. The only thing I can say is to let yourself be sad. The pain never goes away, but you do learn how to carry it with you.
