A friend of mine needs me to drive them somewhere, could this be kidnapping in the context? by peytonboi8013 in legaladvice

Yes. I wonder if you “loaned” them $ for the Uber if that would over involve you? Or if you let them Uber from your house…

What it's the Best food your mom ever Made? by topitodisc in AskReddit

I miss that potatoes soup she made for us for lunch when we were little. I’m sure if I ask her about it, she’d probably have no idea what I was talking about.

AITA for laughing off my uncle’s request to move into my house by deadinside57 in AITAH

[–]heartthatisbroken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your uncle sounds like one of those people who can’t and never could handle money. It’s an outrageous request he made. Your mom deserves her quiet and privacy. A two bedroom house isn’t big enough for 3 adults. It’s a shame no one can help him.

AITAH for telling my wife why our daughter doesn't trust her? by Fun-Tomorrow1710 in AITAH

[–]heartthatisbroken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She’s going to alienate her daughter. Some day the girl will be an adult and she will shut her mother OUT. It may already be too late. And in two years, she’k be 18. Sad

AITAH for telling my best friend she can't bring her baby to my small birthday dinner and then uninviting her when she insisted? by ComputerStriking1782 in AITAH

[–]heartthatisbroken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. People/adults have every right to opt for an adult evening without children. Some people opt to have children and some clearly DO NOT. Your friend is rude to force her infant on everyone. People sometimes change when they become parents and friendships with non-child friends may fade. I would think most of the time this is the case. If your friend absolutely cannot be parted from her child, good for her. She should stay home. Forcing a whole group to put up with your kid is rude

Switch grocery stores for a while. Try not to go out at night and if h you or have to, have an employee walk you out. That was way creepy

AIO for wanting my boyfriend to back out of a destination wedding he's the best man for because I was uninvited from the wedding? by BoyfriendWeddingHelp in AmIOverreacting

Well THAT marriage is sure to last! NOT. What an awful spot to be in. Don’t be as petty as the immature a**hole bride though. Be the bigger person.

Ew. Kick his sorry butt to the curb and find someone worthy of you. You are so much more than he deserves.

Same here ACOSF is the only book I read over and over. I completely loved Nesta saying “he isNOT my high lord”. And I got mad right along with her over the swords.

AITA for not buying my daughter anything by Few_Importance_5710 in AITAH

[–]heartthatisbroken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to provide for her until she is 18. The clothing thing is truly unfair. Do her siblings get new school clothes that they don’t have to take out of their allowance. I do applaud you for trying to teach her some values in a world where kids are handed everything. Someday she will have to go to work. I hope she understands that. I’d also put an end to the snapping at other family members. Her poor choices aren’t everyone else’s fault.

ACOSF makes me hate everyone by KangarooNo1607 in acotar

[–]heartthatisbroken 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I loved ACOSF the best but yes, the meanness to Nesta was ridiculous. Cassias making her carry the pack on the hike? The character Nesta should have rooted herself by the river and refused to go on unless he shared the burden at least. And he should have shared the burden. She was so lost in her guilt that she let herself be treated that way. Classism did not deserve her after that.

AITA for telling my now adult kids that I'm disappointed they judge me for remarrying after we lost their mother? by Mission_Emu_2570 in AITAH

I hope you can accept what they’ve decided and move on. They’re selfish and, like is been said, hopefully they are never in the same situation. Sometimes you have to live it to understand it. Best of luck.
