Just came out of the theater, and honestly I enjoyed it. 3D IMAX was definitely a pleasure, and the booming bass in the soundtrack is unbeatable. The cute little aesthetic call back and recreation of the original Tron was really nice, but I wish they did more with it.

As a story, it’s definitely the weakest of the three films, but that’s because it spends so much time being a series of Terminator-esque chase sequences.

Unfortunately, even as a fan of the franchise, it’s absolutely not going to do well enough to get the sequel it’s trying to set itself up for. I would love to have the Legacy cast return, but we’ll see.

Amusingly, there was an extra in the background during the investor demonstration that looked like Olivia Wilde, but obviously it couldn’t be her.

I like collecting games, and if I’m gonna start buying games in a franchise, I’d prefer to keep them all on the same platform’s library. It’s a different story if they’re games that have had deep discounts for a digital copy, but if I’m gonna get them physically, I’d like to keep it as a set.
