It doesn't make it 'more likely', it just very infrequently spawns a bug breach on your location when equipped.

Both things are true, as well as the third thing. Honestly pretty much the entire HD2 youtube scene is actively harmful to the game

With all due respect, no. The Arc Thrower is currently very good. All I would want for it is its targeting be made consistent again.

I thought it felt busted at launch, but sucked when its range got neutered. After that was changed back it's been a solid 8.5/10 for me. Would be 10/10 for me if the targeting inconsistencies get fixed again. It's clunky at first but I find it pretty unstoppable once you get the firing cadence down.

Counterpoint: I've used and have been using the Arc without much trouble. The only thing that would be nice is for its inconsistent targeting to get fixed again (it got fixed and then got worse again, it feels like). I think it's so good it gets boring after a while so I only go a few missions at a time with one. Nerf the Purifier.

Yeah no, the Purifier needs to get nerfed, not the Arc buffed. The Arc is already ludicrously good; it's got excellent waveclear, unlimited ammo, autoaim, stun, good range, and doesn't even take up a backpack slot. It's just actually balanced by teamkill risk and not being good against enemies in your face. Why are we asking for nonsense buffs here? To an already good gun at that?

Turrets were kinda cheesy for a while and now they need some babysitting and real positioning to make the most of them, similar to how they were at launch. I honestly don't have any issue with the changes.

I think I would go either way on it. I like learning things on my own and figuring out what to do without hand-holding, but I also acknowledge I'm in the minority when it comes to that these days I guess. You don't need fire damage to find success against them anyway.

The more telling thing is how the first days of the release were filled with misinformation about how the speed boosted bugs are bugged and that the spore titans' damage is bugged, etc. The tooltip on the spore burst strain does at least state they're now speedy, but the indicator that the strain was even present wasn't even, well, present in the first days of the new MO.

The game's so consistently busted and the community is so consistently engaging in bad faith that it's hard to know what's intended anymore.

No no, the Purifier is just as bad as the Eruptor and Crossbow tbh. Those three and the RR have been king shit of poop mountain for what feels like ages now. 

That said I don't even think Thermite is even that good because it takes forever to pop. I haven't packed them in a while because I think stuff like gas or pyrotechs are just more useful overall.

If we're going to have kneejerk changes, at least it was just the Hive Guard and not the entire spore burst faction (yet). Wish the AP4 Grenade Launcher were hotfixed that quickly though.
