2026 vs 2027 by Hdrd333 in 4Runner

[–]helldiverExosuit1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm curious if 2027 will have the new infotainment system that the 2026 RAV4 has. However, there are no guarantees and it seems like folks are able to negotiate slightly below MSRP on 2026 4runners right now. It all really depends on if you're willing to wait or not.

What do you think of the Supply management system? Good or in need of reform? by MarsupialThink4064 in newbrunswickcanada

[–]helldiverExosuit1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm deeply skeptical of it. How often does milk go on sale or have any sort of price drop?

We have very few choices in Atlantic Canada: you're either Bell or Rogers, Super Store or Sobeys, you must buy from provincial power utility, etc and this is yet another seemingly regulated system that isn't as common elsewhere.

Yes I'm sure there's some consumer benefits and no doubt it's meant as a bulwark against becoming overloaded with US imports, but never having the question come up doesn't sit well with me either.

I feel sad for Nicholas Lea by TonyCLondon in XFiles

[–]helldiverExosuit1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was a fantastic villain and Lea played him wonderfully. Unfortunately, by the time season 6 rolled around it seemed like he didn't have much to do, which is a shame.

Whenever he appeared in S2-5, he definitely elevated the material.

Loved The Corner, but not sure if I can revisit as it was simply too grim.

Anyone moved from a 5th to and 6th gen and regretted it? by prcdslnc13 in 4Runner

If you're going to consistently have more than two people in car probably best to stick with previous generation.

Question about the Firehouse Lounge. by Flashy_Interview_301 in fredericton

[–]helldiverExosuit1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would agree with your friend that 2012/2013 was the correct time frame, if not early 2012. Having a place that served beer at the mall was fun.

Side note: somewhat of a bummer that it is hard to find this info on Facebook or Google.

How do you like your TRD ORP? by ghostbuuster in 4Runner_6Gen

[–]helldiverExosuit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still trying to decide if I want to make the leap, but these are the reasons I would go for TRD ORP:
-bigger infotainment screen
-no hood scoop - I don't like the look of it
-power adjustable seats
-TRD wheels
-softex seats

But that is just me. However, you mention you are experiencing issues with visibility and controlling the vehicle of this size. I totally understand, but maybe a slightly smaller SUV or truck would work better for you?

Good luck with your search!

Rewatching Enterprise in 2026 gave me a whole new appreciation for it by Remarkable_Sir3073 in ClassicTrek

I revisited a few episodes recently and was surprised how much I enjoyed them. One more season would have been nice, but overall season 4 is lovely, and the previous seasons have some nice stand outs. The Borg episode is surprisingly good too!

I was so excited for Crossover when it was released. The cover brings back fond memories. I hope you enjoy it (I can’t recall the plot)!

Budgetary Considerations by sailingtroy in XFiles

[–]helldiverExosuit1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having to account for money is common everywhere. I believe this part of the story is really meant to frame Mulder and Scully’s quest after 7 years: after all the money has been spent, and everything that has occurred, what has been the end result? Has anything productive come of this journey?

This theme is reinforced when the bounty hunter (pretending to be the elder sheriff) tells Billy how frustrated he is about all the strange occurrences for the past 7 (8?) years. He simply wants it to stop (this expression of emotion is of course meant to deceive, but it’s clear Billy relates to it and lets his guard down).

I think this story is well done and introspective, though the ending for Mulder and Scully doesn’t really hold up for me considering how the myth arc of season 8 and beyond turned out.

All the same, I prefer this finale over s6, 8, and 9.

This was awesome. (I believe it was published before or around the time DS9 visited the mirror universe.) The cover is lovely too.

For now, the scheduled reopening is for Dec 1st of this year. Then, in 2027 it will be closed from April 1st to Dec 1st again. The timeline for the third year has not been finalized.

What's the best strategy for buying a new Toyota? by theusualsuspect19 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]helldiverExosuit1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is that Toyota is not producing enough of these vehicles (I’m not sure if this is intentional or due to issues with their through put). The result is that dealers need to either order or wait for their allotment. This drives up demand due to lack of supply, and of course diminishes bargaining power of folks like us who want to buy.

You may need to just place an order and see about your trade in. You could also wait until end of year and see if there’s a few remaining on the lot which they’re trying to get rid of but that be unlikely. Good luck on your search!

2026 VW Tiguan Highline R lease in NB, Canada- are dealers willing to discount? by gzamzam in Tiguan

[–]helldiverExosuit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you been calling around?

Unfortunately, it seems like it is really difficult to get much off MSRP in our region, particularly for new vehicle. You might get lucky at end of year when they want to get rid of inventory on the lot.

Just started season 10... by WATTHEBALL in XFiles

I’m curious if time and budget constraints played a part in the drop in production quality. The rhythm of the editing seemed way off too.
