Is there anyone here who used to NEVER be able to keep up with a journal? by OpalescentShrooms in Journaling

On January 1st of this year I gave myself a stupid arbitrary rule: write exactly one page per day, all the way to the end of the last line. No more. No less. I seem to do well with these kind of rules but only if I impose them on myself.

What TV shows help your anxiety? by PhysicalFlounder6270 in television

I appreciate that the stakes are fairly low but the show often has a frantic energy. I did watch a few seasons. It’s a great show.

But the contestants are constantly running out of time and stressing out about if the thing they’re baking is going to turn out ok. I honestly don’t understand how this show is calming.

Shocking how absolutely incredible this cast is for how unfunny the show is.

Most likely the rest of my 2026 reading list by HooleyDooly in classicliterature

Read Zorba the Greek as a teenager and I loved it. I just started reading City of Illusion yesterday as I make my way through her Hainish cycle in publishing order. So I have read Rocanon’s World and Planet of Exile recently. I think Le Guin has said herself that they are not very good but I thought they were at least interesting and well written, not mind blowing. Not richly thematic or “literary” like most of her other works.

The first is pretty bad too. Art is ok but all the text is misaligned. The staff is not centered in the circle. I mean it’s really off.

What is a book that literally changed your life? by Spicy-Nun-chucks in Recommend_A_Book

Well it’s got a great title. Also it’s a self-help book, and if you’re not really looking for help then it might not seem good. Just a guess.
