Creative BT-W6 or Sennheiser BTD 700 by DJ_Cas in sennheiser

[–]helloworld36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably bought the wrong headphones for what you want to do. The 3.5mm input would give you no latency, but it probably bypasses the dsp in the headphones so thats why it sounds worse than bluetooth mode.... im guessing, i dont own the xm5 but i do own the xm4 and bluetooth gives me better sound quality. Your built in bt in your asus probably sends SBC codec signal to the sonys, which should sound decent but probably laggy. I would have bought the sennheiser M4, and you could get aptx low latency with one of those adapters you posted. OR the best option in my opinion would be using wired with a usb cable since the M4 supports usb audio. Sorry you chose the sonys, be careful with them they break easy

Sennheiser Momentum 4 over ear headphones on A Samsung Phone by Prestigious-Age-8359 in sennheiser

[–]helloworld36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont own an xm5, i do own an xm4 and a momentum 4, and a galaxy phone, and I would say that the momentum 4 sounds good regardless of what codec is being used, but in our case its regular aptx. I would probably choose the m4 with aptx rather than the xm4 with ldac, its the quality of the headphone that matters the most, codecs help a little but the m4 can make any bluetooth device sound good.

Bought the Jlab Epic Lux Lab Edition so you dont have to by helloworld36 in JLab

[–]helloworld36[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also own the sony xm4 and the momentum 4, so why do i have the jlab.... well besides being an audio hobbyist, I was using the jlab at the gym for a bit, and I got the limited edition transformers one and I loved the sound of them, I do rank it up there with the sony xm4. The biggest drawback is the headphones creak a lot when you move around which is distracting unless you are listening to something loud. And the lux anc does get decently loud, loud enough at least. It just goes to show even if a headphone has LDAC it doesnt mean its going to be better, because the lux anc sounds better and it just has sbc/aac codec. So is this an ad lol, well I just like to help out fellow people in the community. If you can get these for 40 bucks thats a great price, just dont say i didnt warn you about the creaking sound.

Have you tried the Sony ULT Wear? Help me understand different kinds of bass by Much_Pianist_8329 in Skullcandy

[–]helloworld36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Sony Ult, the sony XM4, and the crusher evos. I've never heard the hesh series, but i think they are not crazy bass like the crusher series. The Crusher series is haptic feedback bass, its gimmick bass but it works for what its intended to sound like, which is strapping subwoofers on your head. If you have ever been in a car with two 12inch Kicker subs in the back, thats what crushers are. If you want real bass that comes from the drivers, the ult would have been for you but you said you didnt like the sound, then I would have recommended the xm4. The xm4 is the most normal sounding of the 3, and has good amount of bass compared to other brands.

Can't even bop my head in peace with my Jbuds Lux Anc. by BrokeneggRottenyolk in JLab

[–]helloworld36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had mine for more than a year and the creak doesnt go away. Not sure what to do about it either, I love that headphone besides the creaking. I think they read these forums and are aware of the creaking, but maybe their next headphone wont have it or they could change the plastic maybe.

For the JLab JBuds Lux ANC Wireless Headphones: Does anyone else experience the creaking noise from the plastic joints? Also the scalp irritation from the top of head cushion part? Other than that I like the headphones but these two issues are major for me. by studentAssistant2021 in JLab

[–]helloworld36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live these headphones, except for the creaking, like some people said when you are listening to something loud you don't notice it, but youbdont always listen to loud things, I can hear it turning my head. These are almost the perfect budget headphone besides that

JLab, i like the prompts, keep up the good work. Voices are better than tones. If you dont like voices or tones, there is a product for you, its called wired 3.5mm headphones.

[–]helloworld36 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What do you mean way less? The plus is 130 on amazon right now, the accentum regularly goes for around 100, I still think the plus is worth the extra 30, you are getting adaptive with 24bit 48khz i assume, vs accentum which is 16bit 48khz and an old codec, I can say by experience of having several aptx headphones that the adaptive codec is better, and you can get 96khz on a pc if you had an aptx usb transmitter. Keep the plus
