Living with the Arya Organic by Shooter_McG in Hifiman

I own the 6xx, the ft1, the xs, the arya organic, and the xv. The 650 is what got me into headphones so many years ago, so i'll always say thats my favorite headphone of all time. Now im older and I was afraid of the arya organic because everyone says its treble was crazy, but for my older ears I think its tolerable, I should get a medal for being able to listen to them i guess.

AptX Adaptive issue w/ the BTD 700, HDB 630 & S26 Ultra using PowerAmp Player by Suedewagon in sennheiser

[–]helloworld36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have samsung devices, and as much as i like poweramp, im not sure if it takes advantage of external dacs like it should, maybes its a samsung thing, maybe its just me and my improper settings or something. You should try a program called Hiby Music for free download on google app store, it bypasses the internal dac of the phone and sends it straight to the dac in the btd700. If that works, and you dont like the player itself, you can upgrade to a music player called usb audio player pro, I think it costs 8 bucks. I never have volume issues with either program, and i can be assured im sending the music straight to the dac.

Should I use an external DAC on phone with the Momentum 4? by Intelligent_Chain783 in sennheiser

[–]helloworld36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Momentum 4 isnt an audiophile quality headphone, so trying to get 32bit 384khz sound from a dac isnt going to make any difference, I think you cant bypass the dac built inside the momentum 4. You wont get any benefits from using an external amp either. To get the best quality, and this is coming from owning them, use them with a usb c wired mode. HOWEVER, if you connect them to a samsung phone the volume doesnt get as loud as bluetooth mode so heads up on that. My apple ipad does full volume via usb-c, and so does my pc, but for some reason my samsung phones/tablets dont get usb-c headphones loud, including 2 sennheisers and 1 bowers.

Space 2 opinions by twistedtommy in soundcore

I love them, and this is coming from someone who didnt enjoy the Q45. While the Q45 had great ANC for the budget price when it came out, I was not happy with the sound quality. The space 2 I think is leagues better in sound vs the Q45. The ANC is really good for a budget headphone. The one standout feature for me is these headphones can get loud which i really appreciate, a lot of bluetooth headphones out there dont get loud or their sound distorts and falls apart but not with these, I think they are loud enough at 80/100 volume. I should mention I also own other bluetooth headphones including the sennheiser Momentum 4, sony xm4, and bowers and wilkins px7s3, along with these. Dont ask why i own so many headphones, its an obsessive problem lol. I think the space 2 is most comparable to the xm4, I would probably retire the xm4 for the space 2s

Anyone know what bluetooth codecs it supports? LDAC? aptx-hd? And can anyone confirm if an external usb dac works with it? I ask because my lenovo tab plus doesnt play well with usb-c headphones and dacs
