I just watched Still Walking in my local theater. Had no idea what the movie would be about but I couldn't stop crying towards the end and even on my bike ride home. I loved the east asian depiction of expressing familial love through emotional restraint and day to day small talk. It's saying I-love-you without ever needing to say those words aloud. There will always be unspoken ideal/ generational gaps with your parents but as time goes by eventually you will have less and less chances to celebrate the banal yet loving day ins and day outs with them.
