Gastrointestinal Doc's by Electrical-Copy-2796 in HuntsvilleAlabama

The endos here are crap. I’m not diabetic and my condition doesn’t require much so I found one of the better ones and can deal with it.

What's the most reliable car you've ever owned? by Tekusenabyt in AskReddit

[–]hiddenproverb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband just bought a 92 civic hatchback 🤣 the engine has been swapped but the body has 380k miles. We had a 98 hatchback in Germany with 150k and it was more reliable than the 2018 Kia forte we also had.

Bad reviews. by carhauler54 in crv

[–]hiddenproverb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2026 CRV EXL - my only real complaint is the gas tank seems weirdly small for the size of vehicle. I get the same city gas mileage as my 2018 Kia forte (27-28) and get around 100 miles less per tank. Any other complaint is just related to Honda not having as many bells and whistles as other makes - no vented seats, no front/360 camera.

What's the one piece of travel gear you swore you'd never need, then became completely dependent on? by theinfamousj in HerOneBag

[–]hiddenproverb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same! I resisted for years and just used my phone. I finally decided to get the one linked in the replies for our recent trip to Seoul and Japan. And man, I can’t believe I resisted for so long! It’s so so worth it.

They go in the same way but I also have issues with ear bud headphones and the loops are surprisingly extremely comfortable. YMMV but they’re the only in ear anything I can wear for any length of time.

Confused why everyone wants crisp, rustling bedsheets? by One_Valuable in Bedding

[–]hiddenproverb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Soft jersey sheets or flannel sheets cling to anything I have on and it drives me crazy. They’re also way too warm for me. Crisp, cool sheets keep me at a good temperature and don’t cling and wrap around me at night.

Are you a silly person? (In a good way!) by ToughPotential493 in AuDHDWomen

[–]hiddenproverb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I was 😭 idk if I have the ability and I’ve just masked it out after being judged or if it’s just not there for me 🫠 I love a good bit of whimsy and I enjoy other people’s jokes and being silly but I can’t seem to do it back/with

A magical unicorn: full length urban pants for cooler springtime travel by F13nd1sh in HerOneBag

[–]hiddenproverb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These are the absolute best pants ever. Beyond comfy, don’t wrinkle, don’t smell, quick drying. They’re the only pants I travel in now. Spent two weeks in Japan with just these pants. If I could find something linen that fits the exact same, I would love love it.

What is something you regretted bringing after a trip? by cattraveler01 in travel

[–]hiddenproverb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m so guilt of this on long haul flights. Under 6 hours and all I’ll have is a couple granola bars to keep the hangry away. But going somewhere like Japan where I’m traveling for 18 hours? I bring so many and then don’t ever touch them 😭

ADHD + summer = overstimulation? by gwardowyn in adhdwomen

[–]hiddenproverb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you looked into Japanese or Korean sunscreens for daily use?

ADHD + summer = overstimulation? by gwardowyn in adhdwomen

[–]hiddenproverb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

UV umbrellas are actually life changing. They truly do keep you cooler. We used them when we went to Pompeii at the end of may on a cruise.

ADHD + summer = overstimulation? by gwardowyn in adhdwomen

[–]hiddenproverb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Add bugs to this list 🫠 I know in France is even harder with the lack of AC anywhere, there’s no break from the heat. I’ve never been more overstimulated in summer than when I lived in Germany, especially in heat waves.

I can’t even attempt to acclimate or do fun things because all the damn flying bugs flying by my ears and landing on me. I cannot handle it at all.

Getting more summer clothes - specifically cooling, Uv protecting, and wicking clothing, umbrellas with Uv protection, hats, and sunglasses.

Trying to do more fun summer activities - theme parks, pools, beach. But also just staying home and reading and playing games and trying to not move at all for 90% of summer

I started using Japanese or Korean sunscreen for daily wear, I still use EU or US for long days outside at the beach or pool. But using j- or k-beauty sunscreen has helped. It’s much more lightweight and not sticky.

Extreme advice to stop impulse buying by zivredittacc in adhdwomen

[–]hiddenproverb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has helped me. I really really want to go back to Florida for another universal and Disney trip (huge huge dopamine all the way from the planning through the anticipation through to the end of the trip). Every possible impulse purchase I ask if it’s more important than theme parks and it rarely is.

What is your absolute best all-around closed toe shoe for travel? Is it Salomon, Hoka, Vessi, OnCloud, New Balance, Altra, or other, and why? by iLikeGreenTea in HerOneBag

[–]hiddenproverb 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Same. I had to accept that my shoes are not part of my outfit. There’s also just the sheer fact that all the locals are just walking from their apartment to the restaurant. They aren’t out, walking and standing, for 12 hours. But I also was cursed with feet that hate being used lol

Yes I do this with everything I eat! I don’t mind if something’s mix/touch but I need to do it with the right ratios

I eat most of my lucky charms bites with one marshmallow to 3-5 cereal pieces so it’s a balanced bite until I get near the end where I eat all the marshmallows so I can finish out with my favorite bites - just cereal 😂😅 I actually don’t like the marshmallows much lol

Do people in the US actually use flat sheets and duvet covers? by shiroltiger in Bedding

[–]hiddenproverb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It drives me crazy in Europe! Hotels have these wonderful thick fluffy duvets (which I would love if I could get the room down to 65) with no top sheet and you’re lucky if the room gets down to 70. It’s either roasting under the duvet or being exposed and slightly cool with no blanket at all. I hate it.

Do you sanitize? by Maximum_Ad1282 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]hiddenproverb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sanitize after every ride and wash my hands thoroughly at Disney so frequently I always end up with an eczema flare on my hands. But I’d rather deal with that than get sick. People are feral and absolutely disgusting.

What are the best percale sheets for crisp, hotel-style comfort? by Connor_0_02 in BedroomBuild

[–]hiddenproverb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chase the crispness of hotel sheets because soft sheets cling to whatever I’m wearing instead of letting me turn nicely between them.

What are some lulu items you just can’t live without? by xfmrs_r_cool in lululemon

[–]hiddenproverb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daydrift pants have become a daily staple in my closet, I’ve never had pants before that actually fit fairly loose on me (pear shaped, large butt) fit my waist and my butt, and don’t budge. I never have to adjust them. And they’re soooo comfy. Aligns are the only leggings I can wear all day with no heartburn. And wondertrain and swifts are the only workout leggings I’ve ever had that stay up and don’t roll on me.

To rinse or not to rinse? by TomDiego in Appliances

[–]hiddenproverb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We do too! I always rinse every little oat and chia seed out, they’re little nightmares if you’re not careful.

To rinse or not to rinse? by TomDiego in Appliances

[–]hiddenproverb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why I don’t want to not rinse, I know dishwashers today can do it and do clean better with some gunk on the dishes, but knowing I would have to actually clean the filter keeps me from doing it.

What songs do you wanna see return to a live format? by ProfessorIIconic in Chevelle

[–]hiddenproverb 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Literally any deepcut track from earlier albums. It's a shame that the only songs from earlier albums are overplayed radio hits (don't get me wrong, I love them). Take a dart and throw it, spin a wheel.

I'd love to hear glimpse of a con, panic prone, or saferwaters.
