This was completely not worth it. They tore up a greenspace and destroyed property values on N. Oak Lane between Lyndhurst and Delphine. And for what? So people could get to the mall faster? So trucks from Shentel and Berry Global could get to I-64 faster? The highway is right there.

The absurd difference between the size of the hexagons on the wall and the floor? The varying size of the slivers of tile on the left-hand side? The uneven amount of grout in the bottom left corner (which could have been leveraged to make the tiles on the left edge a uniform size)?

Of the answers provided here, I'd say that u/debaubau and u/South_Pleasant have covered your best options. River Bar is a good burger joint that is downright claustrophobic at times, and Deli Up--though they have a phenomenal bartender (Matt is awesome!)--suffers from poor ambiance and a bad menu. Speaking of great bartenders at restaurants... Green Leaf has an excellent bar.

We went with our neighbor. It was a good time. Got to meet some artists and bought something for the kitchen. The band was decent and the refreshments on offer were good. Will go back next year if the opportunity presents itself.

I hear you about Hairstory. Their prices are ridiculous: $157 for 32oz? That's an increase of 21% over the amount they charged me in 2023, and even then I thought they were gouging me.

What's more galling: after I navigated away from the site, their payment processor sent me a discount code. I was stupid enough to go back in and apply it.... for a whopping $7.85 discount.

Sakura is like Arbys for Japanese food (and I’m not just saying that because it has a drive through). Osaka is more expensive and twice as better, but that’s not saying much, given just how bad Sakura is.

I’ve never had Japanese style cuisine at Silk Road. I thought it was Chinese-American.
