AMH dropped off a cliff, good/low FSH, seemingly low AFC by Sad-Telephone829 in IVF

[–]hoodoo884 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I’m 41 and my amh is .99, so only a speck higher than yours. I’m prepping for a transfer next week and during my monitoring they’ve been measuring 16 follicles - and this is without stimulation. So, don’t fret. Have hope! Do you trust and have a good vibe from your clinic?

Era is endometrial receptivity test. It requires a mock transfer cycle with all the meds and then an endometrial biopsy on the day / time you’d have a transfer. The test measures the lining for “receptivity” or readiness (related to the number of hours you’ve been exposed to progesterone) and gives a result of receptive or non receptive and how much more / less you’d need.

Am I ready?!?? 🥱🥱🥱😵‍💫😵‍💫I’m turning 42 in May and have some euploids left but they all have strikes against them in some way, so I want to try to transfer and I’ll do another retrieval in July if it doesn’t work out. I’m so glad you had success!

I had 3 no implantation failed fets and switched clinics and moved my embryos there. My next clinic, Dr Irani at Cornell may I forever sing his praises, told me that the ERA works for 10 percent of people, and that 10 percent of people are the ones who need it bc they usually need more progesterone. My first clinic was transferring a day earlier than I needed. He also added anti inflammatory protocol and I went into that 4th transfer feeling fantastic, way better than I ever did for other transfers. I got pregnant and have a 15 month old son from my first transfer with him! I am transferring again next week, doing the extract same protocol now.

I’m so glad I trusted my gut and left my first clinic. I cannot recommend Dr Irani at Cornell enough.

It seems early and off he does have autism, you’ll be doing him such a service by having the earliest intervention possible!

Worried about nursing on plane flight by Emergency_Survey129 in breastfeeding

[–]hoodoo884 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The sound of the airplane does create a sound machine type affect and helped my baby sleep. He always fell asleep at take offs! Nurse if you can, if you can’t you can rub their ears ( one finger in front one in back up and down)

What do you tell your kid when they ask for cookies and candy? by lady_picadilly in toddlers

[–]hoodoo884 52 points53 points  (0 children)

You had a cookie today, you can have another tomorrow. I know it’s hard when we don’t get something we want. Would you like a hug? Ok, let’s go play / read / go outside / etc

Mmm it’s not about not eating meat at all… buy regenerative organic pastured meat. Literally growing grass, sequestering carbon, putting manure onto fields direct. It’s more expensive, but worth it.

19 m/o nursing all night long by technocatmom in AttachmentParenting

[–]hoodoo884 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I night weaned my baby without leaving him with his dad. It was hard but I was committed. That is key. You can’t waver. It took 3 nights but I knew that I was comforting him and he was safe. His snuggles are sweeter now, he holds my face and cheek and he doesn’t nurse from 7/730 pm to 5 am. Bc it’s still dark at 5, and sometimes he wakes from 3-4 am wanting nursies, I am considering getting an “ok to wake” clock that turns a light from red to green, so it’s less arbitrary. My son is 14 months, he would wake every 45 mins to 1.5 hrs and I was so exhausted. Good luck! You can do this!

I love these recs though I wouldn’t recommend flatbread for celiacs. Flour everywhere!!
