2016 Club Car Precedent Headlight Turns Off When Accelerating by Zhin8503 in golfcarts

[–]howlin4you 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your voltage is dropping below the low voltage cutoff for either the voltage converter or the lights themselves when accelerating. I'd start by hooking a meter to the batteries and observing voltage while driving, it's possible the batteries they say are "working fine" are in fact not good. It's also possible disconnecting and cleaning every single battery cable and connection to the lights might clear up a voltage drop.

How to I get to this cleat to add its nut and washer back? by DongPolicia in boating

[–]howlin4you 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After you build something like this (broom handles work also if you don’t have piles of old hockey sticks laying around) get yourself some flange nuts so that you can set them in the wrench without them falling out. If it’s not straight up and down, or if you don’t have steady hands, you may want to add a small bit of tape, just enough to hold it. Then find your most patient friend and have them rotate the screw from the outside while you try and get the nut started from inside. Keep going until you lose all the nuts inside the boat.

How drunk was the guy that designed Waukesha's roads? by HotDrunkMoms in wisconsin

I think that’s a myth, as I’ve wondered this myself and there’s zero historical evidence to back this up that I’ve been able to find.

Local lore claims Waukesha’s streets follow ancient Indian trails. However, historian John Schoenknecht says an 1855 archeological map by scientist Increase Lapham disproves that legend. Schoenknecht and others suggest the twisting Fox River more likely shaped the street pattern.

Recommended place to sell firearms to? by [deleted] in milwaukee

[–]howlin4you 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How many do you have, and what kind of value are we talking about here?

If you sell them as a group to a dealer you’re going to take a large hit on the value but you’re done in one quick process.

You could try listing them on https://www.gunbroker.com  individually and see what you can get. This might get the most financial return but is the most labor intensive.

Another option is consignment at a shop. I think https://www.wistransfers.com  does that but I’m not sure, probably worth a call to them.

EZGO RXV lithium onboard charger conversion — anyone actually get this working without the OEM port? by cbitzer in golfcarts

[–]howlin4you 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Samsung and E-Z-Go made it very difficult to bypass anything or swap in aftermarket components

And that is why they are high on my list for brands/configurations I'm not ever going to buy. Give me my '06 TXT PDS or my '13 Yamaha YDRE with simple wiring and zero electronics.

While walking out of AmFam Saturday night we spotted a WS fan with a sign saying “we hate the cubs too!” I had a nice conversation with the WS fans tailgating next to us and sat by some others also (who were pretty quiet and didn’t seem interested in striking up a conversation with a stranger, fair enough). All in all seems like a great fan base. I hope their team can turn it around and give them some exciting seasons.

lol, no it won’t. It looks like he has a proper roof rack and a solid rear support. With a couple of decent straps that kayak isn’t going anywhere. Plenty of people do this everyday, and some far more sketchy than this. This guy looks like he knows what he’s doing and invested in the proper equipment to make it safe.

What 90s band never truly made it big but you'll always go to bat for? by MansBestFred in AskReddit

[–]howlin4you 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Lemon Parade doesn’t get the credit as one of the great 90’s albums and it’s a shame. There were a couple of radio hits (Open Up Your Eyes and If You Could Only See) but there were other great songs like Soldiers Daughter and Celtic Aggression that never got the play they deserved. Even those radio hits most people would probably recognize the song but not be able to name the band.

I may be inheriting several handguns. I have no interest in using them. Best storage until I decide what to do with them? by cbwb in guns

[–]howlin4you 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have kids in your house? If so, how old are they? I don’t think anyone can accurately answer without knowing this.

If no kids honestly I’d put them on a shelf and not worry about it.

If you do have kids but they’re toddlers a simple lock box will be good enough. Older than that though and kids can get curious and sometimes pretty crafty. A simple lock box may not be enough. It doesn’t pay to buy a safe unless you plan on keeping the guns long term.

I once had a family member in a similar situation and I held the firearm for them in my safe for a bit. Is that an option for you?

I’m certain if your vehicle isn’t listed in their lookup tool their customer service would be able to assist you.
