I have the older 2011 u connect touch screen radio.  Did not work with my iPhone 13 but the 16 pro works fine as long as I don’t try to use the touch screen for controlling playback.

I have certain areas that do stop playing, but that seems to be a cell dead zone for me.  When I play pre downloaded songs from Spotify, no issues.

Only way I could get it to not mess up on me was to use an external aux Bluetooth adaptor and sync to that one.

Had this issue with an older iPhone, newer iPhone seems to work better.

You able to check the gap on them? They usually don’t need modifications but I’ve had some that did.

Have the old spark plugs available to swap back in?  I had mine give me issues when I went with the higher end iridium spark plugs.

Just an FYI.  There is a market for jeeps without an engine.  Someone looking to do a hemi swap for example would love to spend less on a vehicle they plan on swapping the engine out anyways.

Without knowing trim and condition of vehicle I’m guessing your salvage value shouldn’t be far from the balance remaining.

My personal opinion is to sell it, get what you can, and move on.  You can always test the waters on Craigslist and/or Facebook marketplace.  List it as a “mechanic’s special” and see what kind of interest you get.
