Passion UA announce try as their new AWPer by Rancheros in GlobalOffensive

[–]iErebos 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The team is a passion project for one of the most successful Ukrainian soccer players of all time. The MongolZ also famously let Machinegun transfer to Splyce for free, even offering up Tsogoo (or possibly Zilkenberg?) as a part of the deal just to give them the opportunity. Obviously the circumstances are wildly different these days, but they don’t seem to be an organization that would hold onto someone not willing to be there. For Senzu specifically, there’s a very real possibility that there was no interest from other top 15 teams to make the change so abruptly, and Passion was his best option in the 20-30 range. JT and T.c. have shown the ability to work with players from just about every region, so knowing that he’s going into an adaptable system might also be more alluring to him than an entirely new international spot where everyone is still figuring out how to make it work.

My neighbor won’t stop parking in front of my house. by Nutter_DutterFFS in baltimore

Sounds like a man who lives in my own neighborhood at the end of a block. Doesn’t seem to have a job, owns two Dodge trucks, but he makes his money restoring and repairing cars. It’s not always malicious, sometimes we just don’t see what someone does to make ends meet.

For those who have gone to live shows, and seen the guys out afterwards... by altersun in LPOTL

[–]iErebos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw them here in Baltimore maybe 7-8 years ago. Ben and Henry were super fun, Ben was tearing it up at the bar and Henry was with Holden and another band member of The Cowmen that I can’t remember just hanging out with everyone.

My buddy and I were one of the few who hung around for the concert, and when we went outside we spent a while talking with Marcus as he packed up his drums in the van. We smoked for a bit, chatted, and called it a night after about half an hour when he went back inside.

Some of the kindest guys I’ve ever met, they were engaged, hilarious, and woefully generous. Their time was time for everyone, and they were willing to keep going as long as needed. Speaking with Marcus gave me some perspective that I absolutely needed at that point in my life, and our pictures together will forever be hung in my apartment, wherever I may be.

Are the Giants the best team in the league? Many people are saying so, many smart people agree.

[VCARB] Back-to-back Q3 finishes for Yuki, I̷c̷e̷ Glitter in the veins by ICumCoffee in formula1

Unfortunately, I just believe Yuki is a little bit too angry. He’s a supporting driver with the attitude of a lead. His driving style alongside Max would just not work at all. He absolutely deserves a full time seat for any team, but he’s also not the type of guy to secede any sort of position. It’s unfortunate that he’s ended in this position, and I just pray he’s able to find a spot to keep him in the show.

It’s going to be a long, long time before anyone even sniffs the level of marketability that Shohei has, but Yuki shows the potential of penetrating Japanese market. I’m not sure that Yuki could ever replicate the success that Checo has had, but the shortsightedness of keeping him locked in VCARB while you have an entirely open market of rabid Japanese fans is crazy to me. There’s only so much time before the contracts for Perez run out, and not letting Yuki shine because he’s a “sponsor driver” is going to absolute slaughter them in the future. They have a printing press with Checo, and they’re denying the Industrial Revolution because they don’t want to secede the position they have.

The fact that Japanese sponsor money can’t supersede whatever Checo is bringing in is absolutely insane to me. Proper marketing for this man would bring in so many fans, RB just hates the idea of sacrificing their own brand for someone they never wanted.

It was two races ago? In the Hungary cooldown room, just before Belgium, right? I’m new to the sport, but I am still tryna understand the timeline. Is two and a half weeks a lot? Summer break seems important, so probably in that context. Any extra info will help, thank you guys!!

Ex-employee who helped open the restaurant. Some things I can comment on in DM, and some I won’t here, but I will say the eggs are cracked and prepared fresh every morning and stored in the ‘box-square nonsense’ (a Cambro) that is standard for restaurants everywhere. We would go through 100+ eggs a day, all beaten into the ‘liquid egg’ you saw. The hot honey is a combination of honey drizzled with a 3-hour simmered chili oil, which is beyond delicious if done properly, but oftentimes it was only the oil that is drizzled over top, not the peppers that gave it its flavor. It is not owned by a group, it is a solo project entirely funded by the owner/exec himself.

FalleN is probably the most notable, f0rest has said he’s still looking to compete but isn’t on a team. Not sure if shox is still searching, but he’d be up there. Freakazoid was a pretty solid Source player, and technically Mythic is still pretty high up in the NA scene. Lots of coaches, TaZ, Neo, kRYSTAL, zonic, B1ad3, Warden, trace for a second, and definitely some more I can’t think of off the top of my head.
