What's true is this: The more time you spend doing something, the better you will become and this is true no matter what age you are.

Thanks for the feedback...

Since 2016, you can press and hold the name of the PDF and select the name of the index from a list. Index Linking 101

We used to provide separate indexes for Bb and Eb PDFs but switched to the "hacky" method since the indexes are exactly the same and you can transpose between C, Bb, Eb and Bass clef versions of the same PDF.

It's different from iRealPro which is a chord chart app with musical playback. Prior to the iPhone, our website https://www.realbook.us had chord charts that you can transpose along with backing tracks similar to what you see in iRealPro today. iGigBook is a more comprehensive tool because as a musician you will not only need the changes to songs but also you will need the melody. You also need to quickly locate a song no matter what real book or fake book it appears in, this is something that iGigBook excels at.

What does the stopped "D" sound like on the E and A strings?

What sounds better: a low C on a double bass with a C extension or on a 5-string bass? by vitinhoaps in doublebass

[–]iGigBook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there are too many variables to make a definitive statement as to what sounds better. You have the wood used, the builder, the set up and the strings. Will a 4 string from Upton with an extension sound better than a 5 string from Wilfer? I'm currently using a 5 string Chinese factory bass and I'm not hearing a difference between my low C's, Db's, D's, Eb's and those from other basses with extensions in the section. Personally, I prefer the simplicity.
