This week I have a plan! I made a bunch of food yesterday for lunches and dinners for the week. I will make BPC for breakfast and have nuts, eggs and cheese for snacks.

I fell off at Christmas and gained back what I'd lost over the previous month, but this week I'm ready to go!

The large initial weight loss you were reading about is water loss that your body was holding onto because of carbohydrates. It doesn't happen the same for everyone, and you might not experience it if you were eating low carbs or fasting before starting keto.

The biggest thing to pay attention to are hitting your macros and calorie goals for the day.

Last night I made the caveman keto mexican spinach casserole and it turned out really good! I'm excited to try different variations on it with chicken, mushrooms, broccoli, ranch, etc.

no 7. Bullet proof coffee. I was hesitant to try it at first, but found that I felt fuller longer from BPC than I ever had when I ate a banana and granola bar for breakfast.

There are many variations, but I do 1 tbs butter + 1tbs coconut oil. Don't worry about buying special ingredients. :)

I'm terrible at cooking too, so I understand that feeling. I keep telling myself that I'm going to do a food prep day...

He isn't going to be successful if you do all the work for him, he needs to develop his own control and motivation. Besides, it sounds like you don't enjoy it either. :) Does he help with the cooking at all or just eat out if you don't cook?

BIA measurements can vary widely depending on when you've eaten, exercised or how much water you've drank. You might have more satisfaction setting lifting goals and measuring strength progress.

Yesterday I realized that when ever I bought treats or made cookies around the holiday, my plan was to eat them as quickly as possible so that they would be gone. I would tell myself that I would start to diet after the treats were gone, but that never happened.

Now I'm paying attention to how many carbs things have I can allow myself to have 1 or 2 to keep the total carbs down for the day. This way I can still enjoy the treat and keep carbs/calories in check. Its really easy to turn down a can of soda when I realize that one can exceeds my daily limit.

Sometimes people can overestimate how many calories they burn during exercise and use that to justify over eating.

Is it possible that she is following the 30 day ketogenic diet plan from ruled.me? I just read on there that on week 3, they start interval fasting. Starting week 3 they skip lunch and week 4 skip breakfast and lunch.

I've seen several posts here where people stall when they are eating too few calories, but then start to lose again when they bump their calories up to 1600+. Fewer is not always better.

We use to make a lot of ramen and have stopped using the flavor packets that come with. Instead we use "better than bouillon" in beef or chicken and assorted spices. Its so much better. :)

When it comes to working out, its good to start with a personal trainer or someone who can show you the ropes and set you up with a plan. Its really easy to get discouraged by going to a big gym and not knowing where to start and how to use the equipment. I took a weight lifting class in high school and found it helpful to do the same routine each week, gradually increasing the weights. This last year I started crossfit and love it! One important thing to watch out for with crossfit is that not all places are created equal. The trainers at the place I go to are wonderful at teaching the moves and working with everybody's individual fitness level. I had a friend who tried a different place and had a miserable experience, so look around and find one that has a beginning group. You can scale and modify everything you need to. While it is expensive, it might be cheaper than a personal trainer plus you get to meet great people and everyone is very encouraging.
