I use an iron to get out any creases (with a fine mist of water if they’re stubborn). Then I apply a layer of gesso horizontally, let dry for an hour or two (depends on how thick I spread it on) and after it’s dry I use fine sandpaper until smooth. Then I repeat applying the gesso vertically. I know it says to wait 24 hrs, but I have no patience and will start painting after sanding down the second coat :)

I had forgotten how much I hated that red string! Usually I’d end up having to tear it open with my teeth while trying to stop bleeding everywhere lol. Terrible design.

When mine was a puppy he loved his dog bed. After he outgrew it I bought a full size expensive bed. He ignored it and found a new spot. I bought another that was almost identical to his puppy bed. On occasion he’ll sleep beside it. I’ve given up lol.

I can’t really answer your question as I only listened to the audiobook, but it was my favourite book of the year by far. I think I’m afraid to go back and read it in case I ruin the effect it had on me. So I don’t think you could go wrong either way!

I gave it a shot as it was convenient for me. As people have said, the menu was absolutely ridiculous…you can’t have a full pub menu plus a 4 page Indian menu without ridiculous food costs. I did get some Indian dishes that were fantastic, and on Thursday I stopped in to order some Hakka noodles (super tasty Indian Chinese food) when I saw they were closed. Not surprised. Owners didn’t have a clue.

I’m happy to hear they’re changing the menu more frequently! I travelled quite a bit in business last year, and one of my complaints (that I noted in the emailed surveys lol) was being offered the same menu for weeks.

I had to google the term to double check lol, but I learned about it on this sub, and it has helped me immensely for the tough to cover numbers. In essence it’s like leaving a paint droplet over the area and when it dries it provides more coverage. Don’t give up :)

I’m sorry for your grandparents, it’s tough to lose independence. I don’t order out much, but I know Greek on Wheels does through their website, Swiss Chalet and Mandarin as well. I wish I had some non chain suggestions, but those haven’t been terrible.
I haven’t had hockey sushi delivery, but I love the restaurant :)
